I am in the process of completing my third MHRB extraction, and believe I have pulled all I can pull with my naphtha. I was just wondering in order to pull the "jungle spice" with xylene, do I need to remove the layer of naphtha floating on top before I pull with xylene? I have never gone further than extracting with naphtha, so I know very little about using other solvents. Any feed back would be much appreciated Thumbs up

Even when you basically dont yield anything anymore with naphtha, there will still be some DMT in there, which will come once you pull with xylene. So your `jungle` will be a mix of mostly DMT and a small amount of other alkaloids, mainly NMT, 2MTHBC and MTHBC and possibly 1,2-DMTHBC (these last 3 substances are beta carbolines of unknown psychoactive effects).

You do not need to remove the layer of naphtha, the xylene will just mix with it and pull your alkaloids. Do more than one xylene pull, and I recommend salting it out instead of evaporating the xylene. To salt out you need to look into FASA/FASW, or you can salt with vinegar and later freebase the results by evaporating the vinegar, mixing with sodium carbonate, pulling with IPA or ethanol or acetone and evaporating, for your freebased alkaloids.

Hope that helps!
