Auditory hallucinations are nowhere near as impressive as the visuals with DMT but they're there and I always get the same sound near the beginning of the trip. Today was driving and all of a sudden I heard a sound that was a LOT like the DMT noise and unlikely as it is it's in the first few seconds of an 80's pop song

Does anyone else hear this or a similar sound?

The electronic looping quality of the sound is definitely reminiscent.

The up-and-down waviness or warbling effect (vibrato? I don't know music) reminds me of how any real-world music is affected if I've any on while going for a breakthrough.
If I've no music on though I usually only hear sort of clicks and warps, not entirely unmelodic but very subtle.

it does remind it a bit - my all time favorite video however describing the blast off process (aurally and visually) is from The Parachute Endings by Birdy Nam nam

Pay close attention from 1:07 and for the next 10 or so seconds...

I definitely hear the resemblance. Not identical, but the shimmery sound is quite similar

Neat, definitely hear the resemblance, shimmery is the right word. As an audio engineer I've always wanted to produce some effects that closely reproduce the sounds heard on different psychedelics.
