So there is one shop in the town where I live that has decent NaOH...

This town, however, is also "the GHB capital" of this country...

So two dudes go to that store to check out their NaOH and the people working there found them a bit suspicious so they alerted the police who searched the guys' homes and found proof of GHB production...

I can't find any info on "watched substances" in my country but I can only suspect that NaOH could be one of them (due to GHB) so ordering online is also out of the question...

Furthermore, youth have been using NaOH to make "bombs" by mixing aluminium into NaOH-solutions in a closed vessel, which adds to the attention given to people buying NaOH...

I don't have a "cover story" yet for visiting the "safety shop" for goggles, gloves and a mask...
Does anybody have an idea what "everyday activities" might warrant the use of or need for these items?
What job should I say I have in order not to raise suspicion when buying the safety equipment?

The safety shop is in another town, I'll try to find my NaOH there (it's a bigger city so more anonymity)...

Whuh.. Sodium Carbonate while it does not raise the ph as much also works. Did you check the available draincleaners ? By checking the labels, the appearance and the msds you could find a useable one. Well, it most likely is even when it has no additives just industrie quality which pretty much means it has some percentage of impurities.

I know of a few brands in my country which gets even sent by chem suppliers (the ones which send to private persons) as cheaper alternative to the Merk/Sigma Aldrich/certificated ones which have an impurity profile. Anyhow, no coloured or shining/metal pearls should be in it, you could first check the optical appearance to go through them faster..

I can't say, if supermarket staff people watch for buyers of draincleaners since GHB and Meth production is pretty rare here.

Safety goggles go for working on your car as well as go gloves/masks.. Say you don't want to breath the laquer-dust you flex.

Your a soap making enthusiast this not only gives you a solid excuse to buy lye but also iso. And maybe you pic up a new hobby in the process of researching you excuse hmmm coconut oil soap with lemon balm.

Anyway, read up on making soap! It is also used in the production of certain soft pretzels.

One reason it may be watched like PSE, HCl, Xylene, Sep. Funnels, Flasks, Toluene, Acetone, Red P., I. is HI reduction of PSE.

well afoaf gets lye from lowes. Its called Roebic-crystal drain cleaner. On the bottle is says 100% lye. He has used it in the past two extractions and has worked wonderfuly.

just use calcium hydroxide instead of lye.

Buying baking soda (which converts to sodium carbonate under heat) and vegetable oil isn't in the slightest bit suspicious, no nosey employees calling the cops on a guy who looks like he's baking a cake.

If you need things like Xylene, Toluene, Acetone, and others like those, check out a specialty art store. Big chains don't like to carry them, but I've got a specialty art store near me that sells almost anything like this that you can think of, in up to gallon quantities, for cheap.

The NaOH, I pick up from Ace Hardware. Its called Rooto. I buy up to 10 kilos of it at a time, and the guy knows that I simply found a way to re-sell it, branded, at a higher price. I use it for many things. Thats not all for DMT. Its just, those chemical supply factories are insanely expensive compared! Thats why I re-sell to that community

If I were a cynical bastard I would say that mystical/spiritual experiences can be had on virtually any drug as long as you're willing to more or less OD on it - but it wouldn't be the drug that offers these experiences but rather the "near death" aspect of it all...

I've conducted my fair share of GHB experimentation and I have never found it to have any entheogenic qualities whatsoever. It is a GABA agonist, it is just as entheogenic as benzodiazepines and ethanol. Only difference is that GHB is active at GABA-B sites whereas benzos/booze are GABA-A agonists.

I will concede that everyone's brain chemistry is different and we can't predict the effects of any drug with 100% accuracy but I find it extremely hard to believe GHB would cause anyone to have a mystical experience. Is it possible? Sure. Likely? I don't think so.

An entheogen is, by definition, subjective. Any substance/practice that generates an entheogenic experience for the user can be termed "entheogenic".

There is a reason they call GHB "liquid ecstasy". It is, at the proper dose, an "empathogenic-entactogenic sedative-anxiolytic" . This is from what I've heard from users and from my research. I have always turned it down.

However, I have used phenibut on several occasions, and found it to be quite sociable and mildly entactogenic, as well as giving that MDMA - "like" empathy. It is also the only sedative-anxiolytic I have used in which my mind felt more "clear" than usual - I feel more "level" on it. I think this is due to the lack of GABA-a activity. I believe it's all GABA-b Aactivity. The primary difference in their pharmacology's is phenibuts lack of GhB receptor activity (yup, look it up, there is a GHB receptor and GHB is as naturally found in the human brain as DMT
