Referencing his theory of the Shadow and Collective unconscious how do I ever know if I am ever talking to the person as they are and not interacting with a mental construct I have projected onto reality? It's so difficult to See and to try and even accept the things that ones mind seems to keep hidden about oneself. I'd hate to think I am doomed to forever interact in such away that I can't fully see the reflective process that seems to be going on at all times. Being in a detached state of mind makes it even harder though I still have hope. Worse yet thinking so many people are not even aware that the shadow exists and forever act out the same old patterns of being. Whether they project it onto some archetype called the Devil or Lizard people or w/e. It all just seems to be a real convenient way to disempower oneself.
Understanding his psychology takes sometime but it's definitely worthwhile. I'm slowly picking up on some of the Alchemical processes and mythic characters contained within dreams and psychedelic experiences. Luckily I can come here to this forum and find a lot of useful insights I would not otherwise find throughout the day to day unless I find someone else into it around where I live which is a rarity. Sadly Self Realization is not a common goal shared by all, though certainly there maybe underlying there conscious mind a desire to be self realized but never acted upon.

As I understood it, it's the role of ego to explore the unconscious and your shadow and unite it with consciousness. This is the process of individuation which takes years, especially in our western societies, which creates such a strong illusion and plants an internal conflict in anyone born within the society. This split slows down or even reverses the individuation. But if you passed the first threshold leading out of this western consensus reality and if found in yourself courage and self-honesty, then you're on the good track. Just stay patient.

Me too. A very good write up imho. Although I can't see a relation to RC's.

Just read the article myself, it is really great and written in a more comprehensible language for a common folk than any work of Jung.

Exactly. It makes this thing sooo understandable for everyone. Even for people who didn't come into contact with this matter till now.
