Hi All,
I stumbled upon dmt-nexus a couple months ago and have been reading away feverishly ever since. What a great wealth of knowledge and such an amazing community!
As far as my history with psychedelics… I did LCD and psilocybin a handful of times during college, always had a good experience but to be honest they were more focused around a ‘partying’ atmosphere rather than personal introspection and the exploration of consciousness. I have only had 2 experiences with psilocybin since college, very rare occasions indeed. Both of these experience where great, more relaxed atmosphere, much more introspective and I think, the way they were intended to be experienced.
Fast forward 20 years. Moved to the North East (US). Living what to me is a great life, amazing friends & family, good job, dog, happy, etc. At this point in my life I wouldn’t know where to find psychedelic drugs if I wanted to, everyone I know now is more concerned with work and bank accounts, and future plans, not much room for mind altering substances. Which is fine. Point being I haven’t thought about psychedelics for years because it isn’t around me, the opportunity to indulge doesn't present itself much… at all.
Then… a couple months ago I was listening to a Joe Rogan podcast where he went off on a rant talking about his DMT experiences. It blew my mind, holy shit! To this point I had never even heard of DMT, how could there be anything like this??? Why have I never heard of this? Let the research begin. I eventually landed on a Terance Mckenna recording, “Everything you need to know about DMT” and my mind was blown 10x.
I decided around this time that I absolutely have to experience this. I’m a bit obsessed with it now. If the experience is even 1/10 of what Terance, Joe, and others describe it must be an utterly amazing, mind expanding thing. Unable to source MHRB I’ve settled on doing an ACRB extraction. After reading as many teks as I can find, I think I’ve decided on trying the tek posted on nexus by joshisom. I’ve sourced all my materials and am pretty much ready to go, can’t wait and keeping my fingers crossed that it goes according to plan!
Anyways, short story long, that’s how I ended up here. I’m looking forward to learning more and getting to know you all.
Best regards,
Summability
