Quote:So, just to be clear: you add solvent, separate the layers, discard the unwanted layer, and then add more solvent to the good layer and do it all again, right?
I guess there are 2 kinds of pulls,
ones you want to keep, such as pulling DMT from a based MHRB mix. This type of pull will contain the goodies you are after so you want to keep it.
and ones you would want to dispose off such as defats from ACRB, these type of pulls will contain no goodies but will contain unwanted things such as fats, you can get rid of these.
A "pull" from MHRB would consist of adding 50ml of naphtha to the based MHRB, mixing around for a few minutes, then removing the solvent with a syringe/baster and putting in another container ready for freeze precip. This process would be one "pull", you would keep "pulling" the mix until no more goodies could be pulled out of it.

* add pure IPA or acetone for powder, everclear or vodka for liquid. Let it stand for 30 min.
* pull 2-3x

Take your solvent off
=== Step 7 ===
Evap totaly for powder, and evap until solids form from the liquid
Could someone explain this to me and pretend I'm an idiot? The language is still a bit confusing to me.
OK, so in steps 1-4 of that tek you are doing the type of pull that is to be discarded because they contain unwanted substances that you don't want in your final product.
steps 5-7 are the type of pulls you want to keep as they contain the goodies. In the case of this tek you are pulling the goodies into the solvent and retrieving them by evaping the solvent to leave the goodies behind.
so in steps 5-7 you add your acetone/IPA/everclear or vodka to your seeds, mix with your ground seeds for 30 mins, then you pull the solvent off the seeds and allow to evap in a baking tray. You can keep pulling until your evaps result is nothing.
hows that?
