Can someone please explain to me the non-polar wash step? Quote:Note 1: The tek is designed to do each step directly after another without any waiting periods except those that are steps.
The first pull if done immediately after getting the lime-bark to one of the consistencies shouldould yield anywhere from 10%-35% (in my experience.) If the first pull is done after 6-8 hours however it will likely yield 25%-60%. 2 pulls done around 24 hours and 48 hours (or later) should be enough to get 80%-90% of the DMT (In my experience). Pulls after that tend to be rather small but I highly recommend doing pulls at 1 week and another at 2 or 3 weeks to get all the DMT possible. I don't understand this step. How does one proceed to do a pull? 24 hours and 48 hours? At 1 week or 2 to 3 weeks? I don't understand... And question 2: What exactly is a tincture?

a pull is simply adding your solvent to the basified mixture. you are "pulling" the dmt out of the bark and into the solvent. the hours do not indicate the length of the pull (which should be around 5-10 minutes at most), but rather the amount of time you should wait prior to/inbetween pulls. a tincture is simply a solution made by dissolving a drug in a solvent (typically with alcohol, though iirc in this case it is water) My wind instrument is the bong CHANGA IN THE BONGA! 樹

So in other words, a pull is hypothetically done at, say, 1 week after and then another week after?
Also, I understand the concept of tinctures but in q21q21's tek, he uses vinegar to dissolve the dmt-freebase to make it easier to store and weigh. How does one hypothetically go from a tincture to the material that would be smoked on a Machine for example?

hello spiritualdensity, you evap the vinegar tincture and the heat from the evap is meant to freebase the DMT. it can then be scraped up and applied to your machine INHALE, SURVIVE, ADAPT it's all in your mind, but what's your mind??? fool of the year

Ahh so for example, SWIM dissolves 50mg into a solvent of 100ml of vinegar. How does evaporate the vinegar or whatever solvent to leave the freebase only? Placed on a spoon and lit from underneath?

Okay thank you! I have one more question.
SWIM reads the tek 2 and proceeds to do a pull. The tek says a pull after 6-8 hours will yield better results and pulls after a week will get moat of the dmt out of the bowl using naptha. Hypothetically, the first two pulls are done after six hours like the instructions says. How do you do the subsequent pulls days later or a week later? I dont understand the concept, where does the bowl of bark go and the naptha?
Could you thoroughly explain this and maybe provide an example that SWIY would do?

certainly, once the mix was based I would let it sit for an hour or so, then I would pull 3 times (pulling for about 30 mins each with intermittent stirring). I mixed it all in a pan so once I had done the first 3 pulls I just put the lid on the pan and put the mix to one side for as week or so. after a week I would do another pull or 2 to see if there was anything left. The mix will dry out over the week so you will have to add a little water to get the consistency back, but be careful a little water seems to go a long way. hope that helps INHALE, SURVIVE, ADAPT it's all in your mind, but what's your mind??? fool of the year

rather than heat the vinegar tincture up to evap it, i recommend just evapping it and using something like this method to convert your extract to freebase. 3rdI wrote:The mix will dry out over the week so you will have to add a little water to get the consistency back, but be careful a little water seems to go a long way. i sealed mine by covering it with saran wrap, so it kept it hydrated for over 2 weeks. but i only did that because i was extra careful to not let the plastic touch any solvent or base mixture My wind instrument is the bong CHANGA IN THE BONGA! 樹
