Hi there,
I've taken part in an Ayahuasca ceremony 2 days ago and I was wondering when would it be ok for me to smoke weed because my shaman told me to that it may affect the experience if I smoke too quickly after the ceremony.

Thanks
Spiked

When the mood strikes. But do so with full awareness, don't force it. If it's not time, you'll feel it, or if it's time, there would be no internal resistance. In any case when you smoke, pay attention to every nuance, how it makes you feel, the headspace it gives you, and then the after effects, as well as how you feel in the morning afterwards when you wake up. Also how it influences your actions/perception/decisions while on it, and how you feel after it wears off. When you pay attention to all of those things, I think you will be able to tie everything else together yourself.

Enjoy brother, i'm hoping to light one up myself here shortly Cool

the cannabis may be potentiated, but other than that, there aren't any other side effects i am aware of (but then i smoked cannabis during the comedown of all my ayahuasca experiences)

go with the flow and do what you feel

I've smoked during aya ceremonies many times and never regretted it. For some reason it synergizes perfectly with the ayahuasca (if i do it right), and helps me break through any nausea or anxiety i might be experiencing...which is particularly weird considering that i normally can get bad anxiety from weed alone, or especially weed + lsd or mushrooms. But for some reason its different with ayahuasca, for me at least.

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

Thank you all for your answers.
I actually posted the question after already smoking, it felt so good to smoke (after not smoking weed for over a week because of the diet) and I was worried that it will block me from getting answers to things that have happened during the ceremony.
In any case, today morning (i smoked yesterday night), somehow I woke 30 minutes before the alarm clock which is something that never happens to me, I usually wake from the alarm or having trouble waking and today I woke ahead of the clock so I don't know what it means.
Because I smoked yesterday night I couldn't remember my dream and i'm afraid that this dream was important for my understanding of the experience.
My diet ends today and I feel lame for not waiting patiently until it finished before smoking Sad

Yeah it's fine to toke up, anytime I take Ayahuasca I've always smoked before, during and after and I've always found it quite satisfying, then again I am a daily toker so Cannabis never bothers me at all.

The shipibo curandero warned me to use weed too soon after an session. He said it would cloud the experience. He recommended to wait at least a week or better 2.
I did it anyway, after 3 days. It brought the whole experience back, full force. I sat in my living room and could hear the Icaros, like i was sitting in the ceremony. It was kind of spectacular. But afterwards i felt it burned/consumed some of the energy Aya gave me.

I think it is recommendable to smoke a littlebit of weed, but don't get into chronic use too soon or it might take from the experience.

I have never done a "proper" ceremony but I can say herb is fine before, during and after.

It will probably change the experience a bit but weather that is a positive or negitave is up to you to decide once experienced in these matters. I would just go with what you are used to. You can put MAOI in a joint and it will not cause any medical issues as MDMA ect could it will however potentate the herb a bit and give you a slightly different high.

Just go with what feels right to you. Don't let other people make your mind up for you.

Peace.

sometimes I too will wake up early before any alarm, I think the natural internal rhythm is more valuable than the alarm clock, so-to-speak... when your body is fully rested, it wakes up.
