Today i was in a trip at the forest and manage to film some beautiful mushrooms , and i want to share. And want to ask pic.8 is Psilocybe semilanceata ? And if the big one from the last pic is good for cooking? And do you recognize any other because i`m not so good with them? second last pic looks like shaggy ink cap, depends, were there any other of the same mushies around that were sortof dissolving into a black sludge? Heard the ink caps are edible.. But dont hold me to it as ive never tried, only stared etc With every great plan comes the pleasure of patience. Take a rest, and grab a suckle off the teat of life!

I have eaten the shaggy mane ink caps when I found them. They cook up pretty nice. Those don't look to be the right shape though..they usually look more like a cone/egg sort of shape when I find them. Long live the unwoke.

well over here they do that whole splitting of the caps after they've opened fully, you find them a lot on peoples lawns etc. And theres almost always a couple busy dissolving. They grow in clusters as well With every great plan comes the pleasure of patience. Take a rest, and grab a suckle off the teat of life!

most ink caps are found in straw so the fact its similar id assume its not due to where it is growing
and i do not see any psilo mushies in there

hmm just did a google squizz and this is apparently what it looks like which is odd news to me idk maybe im mistaken then but the ones i see here that dissolve look exactly like in that second last pic, so perhaps another species which also dissolves to black changalvia attached the following image(s): shaggy.jpg (43kb) downloaded 56 time(s).With every great plan comes the pleasure of patience. ive seen a species that starts with a black stem and a rippled top so you may be right but the idea here is to be 100% certain

same color stem as the cap, thin stem, ripples, nipple with a circle of darker tan, splitting caps, dissolving to black mush. thats what i got here. Def not the ink cap which jamie is talking about, so i wont say its edible, but im pretty sure its the same in that pic. anyways i agree with you, certainty, hence google With every great plan comes the pleasure of patience. Heard the ink caps are edible.. But dont hold me to it as ive never tried, only stared etc Nope only those i found in that area and ,its strange ,it was a road that dint was use a long time and mushrooms where growing along it every where but once u walk in the forest they start becoming rare to find. Still i want to know is this a good to eat mushroom because i gather like 2kg of them and want to make a stew. and i do not see any psilo mushies in there I kinda figure that's the case but wanted to make sure, the psi. species are very rare here ,maybe if i go at the mountain i can find amanitas , but it stared snowing like hell ,ironic, no fall for the those ho leave at mountain side this year. looks like some kind of agaricus sp. could very well be unpleasant to eat, if not downright dangerous. If I were you, I'd open an account at shroomery.org, for future foraging, and ask the trusted identifiers to tell you what it is. I know most fungi aren't deadly, but from what I hear of even mild poisonings, it's not worth the risk also, I'm afraid you haven't found any semilanceata's. open fields with livestock is th best place to find them (these are much more my area of expertease good luck
