We want to use the "Q21Q21's Vinegar/Lime A/B Extraction Tek" for extraction. However, we want to use Phalaris instead of MHRB.
For lack of a wheat grass juicer, we instead cut the grass in a food processor and tried to boil it with water for about 30-40 minutes. The original volume was about 2 litres, but by the time we were finished and had squeezed the excess liquid from the remaining grass, we were down to about 900ml. The plant material weighed about 350-400 grams.
We then tried to follow the tek mentioned above, but as we added more and more vinegar to the solution, the pH seemed to stand still (we used indicator papers which do not show precise levels above 9 pH). They simply maxed out showing >9 pH even after adding about 450 ml of Vinegar.
How should we go about this? We will probably be able to get a juicer, but the juicing method is itself in another tek which does not use Lime or Vinegar, but instead NaOH and then naphta. Is the juice method incompatible with an A/B tek? How do we integrate Phalaris into the tek mentioned above? A .pdf of the juice method is attached.
Edit: We just noticed that the Vinegar/Lime tek is listed under Dry teks, which might explain a few things. Is there any way we can use Phalaris in the dry tech, or some other Limonene-based tek?
Second edit: Is there any reason why we couldn't just use lime instead of NaOH and otherwise follow the juice method in the pdf?
