Hiya everybody, Please forgive me for this being my first post and asking for help. A friend of mine is trying to extract using Q21Q21's Vinegar/Lime A/B Extraction Tek. Everything went very well apparently until freeze precipitation. Crystals had formed after a couple of hours but when he came back from work about 20 hours later, he took the collection container out of freezer, no more crystals had formed and the naphtha was still very cloudy. He tried to pour off as much of the solvent as possible and begin to evap what he had, thinking that he would just use the solvent in second pull a little later and just get a better yield than expected from that. He put the container somewhere to evap but when he checked a little bit later the small amount of crystals had melted and he noticed there was some water in there as well. He thinks he has got rid of the water by running a fan on it and there is definitely a clear oily substance in the collection container, he is thinking of dissolving this in as small an amount of naphtha as possible and trying to precipitate again, is he correct?
The second pull also looks as if it isn't precipitating properly. He is not sure how to proceed ,or if to proceed at all. I really didn't want my first post here to be about a problem but my friend is very stressed about this, any help will be greatly appreciated.
