Some were imagined, some didn't work at all, but those few times I pierced the veil, those few times taught me things about myself and my reality that I would otherwise never have known. I come here in search of knowledge and to find beings of like mind and objective so that together we may see into the beyond. I have almost 3 years clean from addiction and have been waiting until now to continue my spiritual journey towards enlightenment. I don't intend to return to my addiction or use any of the substances that led me to it, I just want to reconnect with the spiritual world. Have you had any experiences with DMT at all yet?

Unfortunately I have not. SWIM has tried LSD and Goldcap Mushrooms and numerous other things. SWIM has had success in the past with Salvia Dinorum Extract (80x was as strong as SWIM could find) and with the Various Dream Herbs. DMT has always been this mythical thing that I have heard of and heard about but never seen or tried.

As doob has said, after you try it, the mysticism will only grow! Perhaps look into an extraction, there's a few different ways (teks) to go about it. All of the information you'll need is here and it's quite simple/rewarding to do yourself.

@dooby I highly recommend the dream herbs. I am not sure which ones I tried however. A friend ordered them off a site and gave them to me as a birthday present. He referred to it as "African Dream herb" and it was a very pleasant smoke. Not harsh at all. I used it for meditation before sleep and my dreams were extremely lucid when I slept after. He also gave me something he called "African Dream Nuts" that I had little success with, since I didn't powder it and just tried to break it into pieces and add it to my cigarettes. It probably was supposed to be powdered and made into tea or smoked in powder form, not chunks like I tried. Thanks for the welcome!

@CatchThirtyThr33 I would love to try an extraction but the issue I run into is that I live in a Halfway House. I have my own room and the manager knows about and supports me in furthering my spiritual journey so long as it is not destructive and is engaged in for the pursuit of spirituality and not for pleasure. He actually invited me to fly to S. America with him to do an Ayahuasca journey with a shaman, but due to my weight (a problem I am working on) flying would be costly for me. So my supplies and environment limits me. Being poor sucks. I am going to be looking for some simple teks that I may be able to afford and am able to do. I also get drug tested 2x a week so that limits my teks as well, since Alcohol is tested for and if I use an alcohol extraction, I have to make sure that I get it all out. I also can't drink tinctures or anything of that nature since they contain alcohol. I also can't have Alcohol on property, not even for cooking (I miss my Linguini with a Nice White wine Clam Sauce) Currently I am experimenting with Wormwood Extract by dropping it onto my cigarettes, but am having little success with that method. I am also trying to make a type of Olive Oil Nutmeg infusion I found here:

I am using about 65g of whole nutmegs (Badia brand from a chain store, so probably not fresh but at least not irradiated) and some off-brand Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I also added some Meyer Lemon Olive Oil to the blend for the Lemon Oil in it, which contains limonene which was mentioned to help the nutmeg oils extract. The infusion has been aging roughly 16 hours so far, but when I sampled a few drops last night after 2 hours of aging, it seemed to have an effect, but I also haven't been sleeping much and it was at 4am, so it could have been a placebo effect or something from sleep deprivation. So far the oil is very hazy and there has been some darkening of the oil color, but no real red tinge to the oil. I'm tempted to add some of the Wormwood Extract to the infusion, but have not done so yet because I am not sure how the alcohol might interact with the oils in the infusion and I don't want to risk ruining it.

Trying my Oil infusion now. It's been almost 24 hours since it started aging, so hopefully I did this right. It's supposed to take 2-3 hours to take effect. I've taken 3.5ml so lets see how this works... I weigh a lot so I had to make it stronger and take more. Strangely enough it doesn't taste like nutmeg. It just tastes like olive oil. I hope I didn't mess it up. I made sure it's been at least 4 hours since I've eaten anything real, so my stomach should be empty in case it makes me sick. Well, time to play the waiting game and hope I didn't waste my time and money. Either way, I will post the results.

Almost 3 hours and nothing. Well, it happens. I probably didn't ingest enough oil. I am a very (Over 400lbs) heavy guy. Time to go hard or go home.

EDIT:3:27am Some small visuals and vague feeling. Gonna wait before increasing dosage and see if this leads to anything.

EDIT:3:51am 7ml more consumed. I wish the original post had more info, such as the persons weight or method of ingestion. I'm basically flying blind, but I have to say: It's pretty damn exciting. I'm gonna watch "Machine Girl" while I play the waiting game. Then maybe Izo. Dunno about after that.

EDIT:5:32am Well. After watching "The Machine Girl" I can honestly say that if that movie wasn't a hallucination, it's by far the strangest thing I have ever watched. Still no effects from the oil, but at least it's developing a red tinge to it. Whether it works or not, I'm going to continue to let it infuse and test it periodically. Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is...?

7:31am Nothing. No effect. At first this made me angry, but then it got me thinking. If the oils in the nutmeg had been properly extracting, I should have tasted Nutmeg in the olive oil, but I didn't. I decided to try something. I long ago learned that nuts have shells. I figured the Mace was the shell of the nutmeg. I was wrong. I removed one of the nuts from the oil and cut it in half. Much to my surprise, the meat of the nut was completely dry. It seemed no oil had penetrated the outer layer of the nutmeg. I then proceeded to remove all of the nuts from the oil and using my dagger, drill a hole halfway through each of them. I have now placed them back in the oil and the oil is already darker and has a noticable red tint to oil. I also added more Meyer Lemon Olive oil to both replace the oil I had consumed and add more limonene to the mix. Gonna give it another 24 hours and try it again. Lets hope I have solved the problem and it will now infuse properly. I'm starting to think that ethnobotanicals are like computers in that often times the most obvious thing that could cause a major problem is the source of the problem and not the dozen other things you think are causing it. Fingers crossed this works.

EDIT:8:41am After almost an hour of near constant shaking and swirling, the oil is a dark reddish brown color. I'm going to take a nap for an hour or 2 and let it settle and soak. The scent has changed as well, it's not quite as olive oil scented as it was before. Haven't taste tested it yet, but plan to later, after more time has passed. Also, while carving the holes in the nuts, I did it over the jar so the shavings fell into the oil so as to waste as little as possible. Don't know if this sped up the color change or had any real effect, but figured I should mention it in case it did.

Up to this point, all tests of the oil have had resulted in no effect. I have decided to add 7ml of Turmeric Extract and 8ml of Wormwood Extract and heat the Nutmeg/Olive Oil/Lemon Oil infusion to aid in the infusing/extraction process. It was heated for about an hour at a low temperature in a pot of water and then removed, shaken, and placed in a cabinet with no light, since the extracts will degrade with exposure to light. I don't have any black pepper but will be getting some soon since the Piperine in it increases the absorption of the Turmeric by 2000%. Gonna let it sit for now and shake it whenever I walk by. Fingers crossed for success.

Added fresh ground black pepper the day before yesterday and have been letting this mix sit in my cabinet and shaking it when I walk by it. So the total ingredients in this mix are:

65g Whole Nutmeg (with Hole drilled 1/2 way through)
7ml 1:1 Turmeric Extract
8ml 1:5 Wormwood Extract
1 tbsp Black Pepper
Olive Oil
Lemon Olive Oil (added for taste and for the Limonene to aid in extraction)

Both Olive Oil and Black Pepper increase the bio-availability of Turmeric and Turmeric has an effect and also boosts the effects of other psycho-actives, which in this case are the Wormwood and the Nutmeg. So in theory the 2x boosted turmeric will have an effect and also boost the effects of the Wormwood and Nutmeg. Now this mix will probably taste like garbage so I need to find a way to mask the taste. The other problem is dosage. My body weight makes it so I would need to consume a large quantity of this infusion to gain any effect.

I still haven't tested this mix, but upon looking at it now, I notice that there is a layer of blue liquid above the olive oil...Anyone know what this could be? It's definitely a liquid, and it mixes into the oil when its shaken, but it eventually separates again.
