Thank you for that post HF.

So going back on topic, let's sum up a bit some advices or ideas regarding how to deal with dark entities or trips. Some of these are collected from FAQ/Health and safety, some are posted in this very thread.

Preparation
* Working well in daily life, trying to fulfill responsibilities, be a productive and healthy person, can serve to create a strong clean base from which to start, when goign into these alternative states of consciousness.
* Take care of set and setting. It is important to ask oneself: Is it a good moment and place to smoke spice? Is the room clean and organized, or is it an appropriate nature or calm place for it ?
* Surrounding yourself with 'power objects'. Things one considers sacred, or that their presence bring comfort and calm to oneself, can be used to help setting a good atmosphere. The object can be as varied as the person using. For some it's special stones or crystals, or special smoking/vaporizing instruments, cloths and paintings, a necklace, certain clothes, 'magic' stick, pictures, etc. It does not matter whether they literally protect oneself in hyperspace or at least help one psychologically and consequently to enter the other state of consciousness. These have been used successfully and can be a factor diminishing the overwhelming negative events

During the experience

When one is facing a dark entity or experience, there are different ways to react to it.

* Some people feel that the best is to simply avoid dark entities. Others feel there may be something to learn from dealing with these perceived dark entities, as long as one remains a certain state of inner strenght and works towards integration afterwards.

If there is no choice but to face these dark entities, there are a few suggestions that can possibly help:

* Remembering "this too shall pass"
* Trying to surrender to the experience and letting go, taking it in non-judgementally.
* Dettaching, not identifying with the images.
* Remembering the Common Source that binds us all, that ultimately there is nothing to fear, it's all part Existence and hence what it must be.

Integration

After the experience has passed, like any experience in life, it is the time to question oneself about what happen and see if there is something to learn.

* Was there something in my preparation and 'normal' life that I have done that could have caused this experience? Can I improve something?
* Is there a message to me in this experience, can i use it in a life-affirming way and improve myself and the world around me directly or indirectly?
* What about future use, should I do it again or maybe take a break or stop altogether? If I do, is there anything I can do better? Can I improve through changing something in the dosage, intentions, set and setting, actions during the negative event, integration?
* Should I get some help, whether it is simple talking/advice to others who can understand me, or more thorough psychological-spiritual support?

Anything else we can add? anybody got suggestions?

By the way hyperspace fool, it isnt clear to me what you think people should do if they have no choice but seing the entities. What if you cant avoid it? and also, how do you do it, literally ? Do you visualize some image or word or sound that helps during the experience? What other tricks are there in your opinion.

Thank you endless for bringing this subject back on topic.

Unfortunately I don't have much I can add as I have little experience with dealing with the darker aspects of hyperspace, but I'm glad that some good discussion can be had now about dealing with harsher experiences for the benefit of all who read it.

So again, I thank you.

Excellent post, endlessness!

Keeping a clean and healthy 'normal' life helps so much with making my experiences bright and happy. I can't trip when things are left incomplete or I feel negative towards anyone or anything. Clearing the space and mind allows positive experiences to flow while keeping the bad ones at bay.

Also, I just finished today rearranging my home for optimal tripping. Set up a fish tank for the sound of water. Pink salt lamp for atmosphere. Arranged the furniture for coziness. What matters? The space feels clean and like my own little safety bubble.

Stay away you dark and evil powers!

Nice one endlessness...

Very cool for you to take this initiative.

My more extensive advice:>

Before hand...

(Living well, and resolving any issues that might be heavy on you are always decent starts, but often we go to Hyperspace for help with our problems, so my advice here is more along the lines of: )

1) Meditate - Clear your mind and evict any obnoxious inner voices or negative emotions.
2) Make sure you have enough vitamins and water in your system. (B Vitamins, C, choline, 5-htp or whatever you need)
3) Create a clear intention to carry with you into Hyperspace (short and sweet).
4) Play music that makes you feel safe and loved in the background.
5) Clear your space. (Not necessarily cleaning the area, but with your intent, incense, reiki if you know how. A bit of Feng Shui never hurts.)

During...

1) Have a handy mantra to fall back on. (Doesn't have to be esoteric, but can be as simple as All Is Well or the like.)
2) Stay calm and banish any negative emotions as or before they arise. (Fear & Anger attract the baddies IME)
3) Actively use your intention to go and find the experience you want. (Nothing wrong with being passive and seeing what comes, but if you are not happy with what is going on... move on to something better. This may take a bit of practice, but it is not unlike navigating a lucid dream.)
4) Try not to focus on, pay attention to, give energy to, or otherwise encourage any beings or spaces you might encounter that resonate with anything that doesn't seem wholesome, uplifting, and loving to you. When in doubt, seek something higher and lighty-er.

(There is no shame in avoiding a potentially troubling encounter, or even calmly fleeing from a situation that simply feels wrong to you.)

If you are cornered and accosted, and can not avoid an encounter...

1) Command the entities to leave your presence. (takes confidence, and can be impossible if they were drawn to your fear in the first place...)
2) Use your mantra, or an Icaro (song or tone).
3) Ring a bell. If you have a Tibetan tuned bell or bowl, these can be great.
4) Shake a shaman's rattle.
5) Dance.
6) If all else fails, you can call on guardians you have met previously or have affinity for. Allies that might come to your aid can take any form, and the spirit of the vine itself can be quite protective. It helps for this if you have cultivated friendships and have worked with your guardians previously, but you might be surprised who will come to your aid if you implore with sincerity.
7) In the end, the last resort (and also most effective) is to call upon the Universal power of light and oneness. Whatever your spiritual belief system, this power is your birthright as a child of the Omniverse. Admit that you have reached the limit of your ability to protect yourself, and call upon the highest power you can envision... the light that will radiate through you will be able to dispel any darkness. Remember to be humble if you do this, as it is not your personal power that you have channeled or called upon.

After...

1) Write down your experience in a journal.
2) Think deeply about what happened, and try to remember events that might have slipped your mind.
3) Fill in blanks in your memory patiently.
4) Talk your experience through with someone who would understand and can ask you questions you might not remember to ask yourself.
5) Meditate on the most impressive or important aspects of your experience. Contemplate symbols and images.
6) Be thankful.
7) Let it all go.

Disclaimer: If portions of what I suggest here run counter to your belief system or conceptions of reality... ignore them.

There is quite a bit more to say on this, but I will leave it at this for now. I need to go and get some grub.

A little sage burning never hurt anything.

True. I'm learning to navigate and choose the journey. Learned some tricks with the help of syrian rue, a bit of mushrooms and a bit of changa. I played a HyperVideoGame with my friend's higher self using our times together as game pieces. Did it happen "in real life?" Who cares? It was real enough at the time, that's good enough for me. I'm not even sure I'm not the dream of whomever is reading this.

During the one time I detected a sinister being I simply turned away as I have no interest in the dark side (I had my fill being a Satanist as a young pup). Don't know if it's always that simple but it was for me.

My own personal mantra for dealing with "dark visions":

Wait for a quiet day with no disturbances or much on the mind. Clean the house. Try and keep a clear mind. In the evening, light a few candles. Take a hot epsom salt bath with white sage burning. Go to bed, under the covers. Relax. Breathe. Wait for the right moment and blast.

No dark scary creatures around this place - cause I don't let them in. Wink

That's perfectly said. I choose who or what to open my doors to.
Well, y'know, it's like this experience that I had was like, y'know, erm, it was kind of the most profound experience I've had in me life, like

I must also take the time to say it looks as if this topic is headed for better weather. Let's keep it that way. Set and setting, preparation, and how to direct out mind or soul towards whatever or away from what each one of believes in. A much more agreeable subject I think we all can agree on that.

I've made a bit of copy pasting of the tips given here and added to the health and safety section:

Nice bump divineyes, I had read this thread in the past but forgot all about it.

Phew... what a ride!

In fact, going back over these pages felt like I was in taking a psychedelic trip at this very moment! It started off innocently enough, then started getting deeper and deeper, hints of anger and animosity, patience and wisdom, a struggle to UNDERSTAND, a desire not to. Page after page felt like those eternal minutes with your head in your palms rocking back and forth.

Then, finally... salvation. The light begins to emerge again on the back of a few posts of apology/backing-off. A settling down. Then endlessness drops a fantastic return to topic full of insight, and is then finished up by Hyperspace Fool offering his tips and tricks. This felt like the 'afterglow' of the thread, when logic starts to trickle back in and things start to make a bit of sense once more. A feeling of tranquility sets in as beauty begins to flourish.

I apologize for not having a whole heck of a lot to add in regards to the original post, but just wanted to share my experience with the thread. You people are all awesome in your own unique ways and I couldn't be happier to be a part of this community... however dysfunctional it may be at times!

Best wishes all - take care!

I feel that some of the entities we come upon are manifestations of our subconscious but others are independent of us and are either travelers themselves human or other and even at times native to the lands we travel to. Alternate dimensions / parallel worlds are real. Under the right circumstances a dream becomes a gate and the place you go to is a real world in a totally different universe.
