As a few of you know, I'm an quite consistent in my meditation practices, and, have decided that I want to try DMT.

There is just one fear that I have. I've been reading about bad encounters that people have, bad entities to be exact. When I was younger, I had terrible nightmares about demons, and I do mean terrible. Not just once or twice, but consistently for about, oh, 4-5 months every day.

I haven't come across anything like this in my meditations, but, I'm not sure I can handle it well if i do come across them while on my dmt trip.

I feel like DMT has been calling me (not sure others experience this), but, now im not too sure its time.

Thoughts?

No one here can tell you if you are ready or not. You will just have to go with your gut. With that being said, whenever you do decide to try it I suggest starting low and working your way into it.

Some anxiety before a DMT trip is perfectly normal, even in those with a lot of experience with the chemical.

Just remember DMT can't hurt you. Even if by chance you do come across a negative entity just simply observe what is happening and don't relate to it. Just like meditation, be mindful of what is going on around you but realize it is only temporary.

So there is no real way of getting rid of those negative things? Just observing them? Seems a bit hard to do...

One thing to remember is that no matter what happens
You will always come back to normal.

Don't be in a hurry to accept the existence or not
Of negative entities. Don't believe in anything to start
Take it on your own terms . Its a slippery slope to get envolved with
Too much human belief systems really .

Study basic shamanic practice model those
Who came before they know stuff.
Simple stuff like chanting can do wonders.

Fear and finding inner strength are core lessons
In all this . Sometimes it's hard to tell what's doing the scaring
In there most of the time it's a feedback loop of fear coming from
The self trying to put a face on the experience .

Practice good set and setting be in a positive
Mindset don't be afraid .
The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.

Not really. But there is no reason to expect that negative things will come unless you go into the experience while in a negative state of mind. Set and setting are important. Also, DMT doesn't last long so even if things do get uncomfortable it isn't for long. Like I said though, there is no reason to expect that you will have a negative experience.

This is a really good point. It is best to go into a DMT experience with no expectations. I didn't experience any entities at all for awhile. You can do all the reading in the world, but in the end DMT is a unique experience for everyone and there is nothing that can really truly prepare you for it.

I suggest not going at it if until you are in a peaceful state of mind, say, after a nice meditation session. If your mind is overly concerned with what could possibly happen it may not be the best time for you to try it.

There are no demons outside of your own mind. Only that will affect you, which you choose to allow to affect you. If you think there's demons out to get you, then your mind can manifest all kinds of scary things. The root, tho, is the fear

As mentioned above, just meditative awareness in the moment and detachment from any fear-based "entities" should resolve those issues.

Personally tho, I would probably at the very least re-evaluate the childhood fears. I use to have a recurring dream that Freddie Cruger (Nightmare on Elm Street) had me in his boiler room when I was a little kid... scary stuff when you're 5 or 6, but later I realized it was just a movie on a screen so through that understanding I stopped letting it effect me

If your issue is with entities, whether I believe in them or not is irrelevant (I don't, so they don't really affect me positively or negatively) but what IS important is what you believe and how you choose to allow it to influence you and your reality. So, if I was in your shoes, I would just think of it the same way I think of people. Some, I enjoy the company of, and I allow the connection to stay. Others, the really negative ones, I try not to bother, nor do I allow them to bother me, so there's no interaction. I'm aware they exist, I just don't get involved and let them pass. They can only influence me if I allow them to, it's a 2-way street.

Thanks guys. Been looking at the teks available, and find one that I think I could pull off. Just seem to have 2 issues. Finding the Mimosa Hostilis Bark (Powdered) and, believe it or not, a freezer. Dont risk doing it at home....

Anyway, going back to the powdered bark, I have a fear of ordering it online, as, all that stuff is tracked. I dont know if they're even sold in stores near by. So I'm looking for a safe of getting it.

For what it's worth, generally ordering online should not be an issue. Assuming you're not ordering amounts that would raise eyebrows in the distribution department of course.

I've ordered all kinds of illegal items for personal use through online vendors, and the general gist of the flow is if it's fairly small amounts (for personal use) no one is going to bother with it, because there's millions of other people ordering small amounts as well. As far as actual enforcement action is concerned, they tend to go after large quantities

Again, use own judgement. The DMT-related stuff I order usually has a disclaimer from online saying "not for human consumption" anyway, so if anything you could always say you heard the plant was magical, and wanted to make some potpourri for your meditation room

O, Hai!

My mistake, wasn't aware I crossed a line. These products are all legal for transfer within the US (the ones that were asked about) so I didn't see the issue. The extraction, however, is illegal. Under RFRA, consumption was deemed legal by the US Supreme Court last I checked.
