Hello everyone! I have been lurking this forum for a couple weeks now, and I figured it was about time to introduce myself.

I'm 21 years old. I am a music enthusiast and a guitar player. For the past year or so I have been touring off and on with my band, but after giving my situation a lot of thought, I decided it was finally time for me to go back to school and finish my Bachelors degree. I have just recently moved out of my parents house, and I am experiencing living on my own the first time ever. Let has been an extremely liberating experience.

So anyway, why am I here?

Well, I was first introduced to psychedelics about a year ago. Me and a few extremely close friends of mine each took a tab of some very potent acid that we obtained though another friend. Only one of them had tripped before, so this was a new experience for almost all of us. That day ended up being one of the greatest days of my life. I witnessed the world in a perspective that I never thought possible. The beauty of life and nature became so obvious. I realized just how much of my life, the world, and people around me I was taking for granted. I was in a state of blissful awe for almost 8 hours. It was the first spiritual experience I have ever had. The connections I made with my already close friends that day will never be forgotten. Since then I have tripped on various psychedelics a handful of times. I have realized just how much you can learn about yourself and the world around you if you use these drugs properly.

Only recently have decided that I am ready to try DMT. I was in a bad place for the past couple years. I don't know how else to describe it other than a mix of undiagnosed depression and nihilistic thinking. Luckily I have done a lot of learning about myself over the past year through being in a touring band, moving out of my parents house, and experimenting with psychedelics. I have found new appreciation for life and I have learned to love myself. The acid trip I described in the paragraph above was definitely the initial catalyst for this internal change.

I have not yet tried DMT, but today I finished my first extraction with the help of this forum. I have spent countless hours reading through pages and pages of threads and various extraction teks. I love DIY projects so the idea of DMT extraction was very exciting for me. I am happy to say that my hard work paid off and I was gifted with an excellent yield and a very pure product. I am very excited to try it and probably will sometime tonight.

I am extremely thankful that this website and community exists. I am all for spreading knowledge of safe and ethical drug use. I hope to be a great new addition to this community and again, thank you DMT Nexus!

Hello catch33,

Welcome to the Nexus. What a wonderful and well written introduction essay. Thank you so much for sharing that with us.

Wow, yeah, you sure bring back memories for myself and I'm sure a good many others here for the first decent sized psychedelic dose/experience we had. . .

I applaud you for extracting your own spice. I mean how exciting is this right? By the way, what plant did you extract from? What tek did you use? What was your starting plant amount and final yield and how did that yield appear?

How will you be smoking/vaping it? And of course, I cannot wait to hear about your initial experience.

This sounds like a year ripe with potential for you - all these new thoughts and this new independence. Sure it will have it's down moments and challenges, but I hope you will basically embrace all that you can in this life and all that your potential offers you.

I look forward to hearing more and again, warmly welcome you to the Nexus. Very happy

Hehe, sounds just like me Smile

minus the musical part. But very similar.

Very good introduction, and you seem to have a firm grasp of the basics of psychadelics.

You sound like a responsible, smart, and good person, who has had the same expirences, many of us have, and havent learned from for the better/worse.

Hope ya stick around, and welcome to the nexus.

Look foreward to your contributions to the community, and feel free to ask any questions, or discuss whats on your mind.

hope your having a great night, day, or morning. You sure sound like it Thumbs up

peace

In a society in which nearly everybody is dominated by somebody else's mind or by a disembodied mind, it becomes increasingly difficult to learn the truth about the activities of governments and corporations, about the quality or value of products, or about the health of one's own place and economy.
In such a society, also, our private economies will depend less upon the private ownership of real, usable property, and more upon property that is institutional and abstract, beyond individual control, such as money, insurance policies, certificates of deposit, stocks, etc. And as our private economies become more abstract, the mutual, free helps and pleasures of family and community life will be supplanted by a kind of displaced citizenship and by commerce with impersonal and self-interested suppliers...
The great enemy of freedom is the alignment of political power with wealth. This alignment destroys the commonwealth - that is, the natural wealth of localities and the local economies of household, neighborhood, and community - and so destroys democracy, of which the commonwealth is the foundation and practical means.” - Wendell Berry

Thank you guys so much for the warm welcome! Sorry it's taken me a little while to reply.
Firstly, let me clear up the questions with my method of extraction.

After my weeks of research I finally landed on Cyb's Max Ion tek. I was originally planning on using his original Salt Hybrid ATB tek, but noticed that the Max Ion tek seemed to just be an improved version it. The plant I used was Acacia Confusa root bark. It was basically impossible to find anyone selling Mimosa domestically, and I read that some people were having good results with the Acacia. Since it was my first extraction, I figured I would start small with 80g of the plant matter. I followed Cyb's tek almost exactly to the T. I had to reduce the time of the acid cook by roughly an hour or so due to some time constraints, but it didn't have a prominent effect on my final yield as far as I could tell. I ended up with about 1.1-1.2g of fluffy snow white spice. I was in shock by how pure the product was considering what I have heard from people using Acacia. I didn't have to do any additional purification. So in summary, I used 80g ACRB, and ended up with over a gram of fluffy white spice. Over a 1% yield on my first extraction. I was very proud of myself to say the least. I should also mention that I did do the addtional defat step, which I think was key in obtaining my fluffy white end result from the Acacia Confusa.

The night after my extraction was complete I constructed a crude "machine" from a glass turket baster. I continued to take small doses from 20-35mg throughout the night to try and get a feel for the drug. Even at the higher 35mg dose the most I experienced could be compared to a very short lived mushroom trip. I realized that my machine was not a very effective method of administration mostly because I don't think I was using it correctly.

I ended up doing some more research on the machine and today I crafted an original model from a single serving Hennessy bottle. It worked miles better than my previous construction. I loaded in somewhere between 20-30mg of my spice and had an exhilarating experience. I saw crazy geometrical patterns, changing colors, and the beginning of what appeared to be the tunnel I heard a lot of people talk about. I honestly think I was about 10mg short of breaking through. The body load was very intense though. My face felt extremely hot and my heart was racing. I think this also might have partially been because I wasn't expecting my new machine to work so well and when I saw the plumes of vapor I panicked a bit. It was definitely the best experience I have had so far with the substance and I'm excited to use it again. I feel like I am ready to break through and I cannot wait.
