Hello, I really hope that the acid cook does improve the quality a lot because this is a pain in the assBig grin

Does it make sense to do the cooking instead of just basifying the whole mix with plant material?

Would interest me alot because cooking for 2 days cost energy tooConfused

Please take some time and read through the forum. The Nexus is not here to spoon-feed you answers to your questions. There are several threads that empirically demonstrate that using acid is more efficient than not.

I look into that but it seems the acid cooking is good for the quality, but have to wait a few days to confirm.

Ok this is my first pull after 12h of freeze. I guess the hard work is being honored finally.Big grin

I think about re-X but where do you see the based solution? The solution was 100% crystal clear when freezed. Smile

The small brown/red spots in amongst the Xtals could be base solution.
They also could just be under the glass showing through.

If they are in the dish...you can wipe them away with your finger...or Re-X and let them drop out..sep..then freeze again.

yea,Big grin that looks like it but in fact I had to use my old stainless pot for the freeze and the brown spots are burned in from reducing... they are not base solution.

I still think that i re-x because this was just the first pull out of many Cool

great, I figured its pretty much good.
And I like your tek pdf, especially great is that there is also a part of chemistry of extraction at the end. Smile
Did learn a lot of that for this one.

After my first A/B, I never went back to STB's. A bit more effort with all the boiling and such, but the quality is almost all ways better IME. Only during the last few pulls do I feel the need to re-x.

Also, because of reducing the boils, the amount of liquid you end up working with makes the whole process so much more efficient.

A/B's FTW! Smile

They also use a lot less lye which is nice. I get the food grade stuff so I like to make a bottle last as long as I can since I have to mail order.

thanks for the advice. Just doing a re-x and stuff.

But I wonder why my warm naptha turns milky so fast? I mean that I use 400ml warm per pull and its cloudy when I get it out and after freeze 24h , theres 300mg of product in that but should naptha not pull more than that ?

thanks update when I have picture of re-x
