I'll start off by saying that I've dug through the Nexus for some info on these products, and haven't been able to find a general consensus. What are everyone's thoughts on these? Does anyone have any experience with Dreamster and HSG?

I'm the proud owner of a GVG, but I'm always looking to spice things up (pun intended :])
I love the look of the inner cooler sherlocks, but I can't find much info on the how well they function for my purposes.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I bought a HealthStone Glass vaporizer, thinking it might be comparable to a GVG – maybe even surpass it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come close:

If you put DMT on top of the vaporizer stone, the vapor produced is incredibly harsh. I think there’s some burning that takes place.

So what I tried was to warm the bottom of the stone gently and melt DMT into it. My thinking was that the greater distance between flame and DMT (separated by the full thickness of the vapor stone) would make a difference. The vapor was still unpleasantly harsh.

I experimented with it a few times, and now it sits collecting dust. Sad

That's a shame. They're such beautiful pieces of glass.

The trick with smoking with health stones is use a torch lighter inverted starting about three inches above the stone then as you hit move the lighter closer and closer till your cooking the stone you can take just about any size dose in one hit and it is a little harsh but still smoother than a cigatette or bong rip

I do this with my GVG just stick it on the top of the ceramic filter. If you get the technique right it is not harsh. I have never bothered trying to use it properly as I find this so convenient.

I do start with the torch lighter a good distance from the bowl bring it closer till I see vapour then back it off a little. Always get it down in one hit. Is possible to burn if you are careless with the flame then you end up with a pipe full of harsh creamy smoke.

I'd say to the OP try your spice on top of the ceramic filter of your GVG as this is exactly what the HS pipe will be like as the filter is the same material and they are both glass.

If you’ve never used the GVG as intended, then you have nothing to compare with your current technique. I’ve tried both techniques, was very careful with the flame, and when putting DMT directly on the ceramic element, it’s just not possible to get vapor that’s as smooth as the “standard” GVG technique.
