Hi all,
I've been coming here for a couple years and have learned so much from these forums, and I finally want to become part of the conversation (and ask some questions as well!). I have a strong interest in natural alkaloids and want to learn and help out as much as I can.
Cheers!

Well I uh, made this account for my cat (he's not great at typing), but he enjoys the outdoors and has been doing LSD and mushrooms for more than a decade. More recently he's taken the plunge into DMT (no breakthroughs yet, but close!) and mescaline in the form of cactus juice. My cat has a weak stomach so his main reason for visiting is that he wants to try some of the less dangerous-sounding extraction teks for San Pedro. So far it's one of his favorite substances, but it's a pretty major inconvenience, so extraction looks glamorous. He is also a bit of a fraidy-cat about breaking through on DMT so he wants to read a bit more on the subject before taking the plunge.

So I'm still hanging around reading threads, but I'd like to ask some questions in other subforums and share my experiences there as well. At what point are new users given access to other subforums on the site?
Thanks!

promotionPROMOTION You will be promoted to full membership when you have shown enough maturity in your posts. What this maturity is, is up to the moderators. It helps to get promoted if: * A full member vouches for you * You keep making valuable posts, this can be experience reports, helpful answers & questions, literally all contributions! * You write an essay why you want a full membership, this essay doesn't have to be long or without spelling errors, it just has to be genuine

Here's my essay requesting full membership:
A few months ago, SWIM made San Pedro tea with six friends. The experience was not as strong as I would have liked, but it was a life-changing experience that made me want to explore further. They then went to a festival with the intention of having the tea again at a stronger dose, but due to weather and travel issues, it went all wrong.
Since then, SWIM has been looking into extraction methods that would allow the effects of San Pedro to be condensed into capsule form for easy storage and transportation. In a lot of cases, the time involved to order and prepare cactus (especially for medium-sized groups of people) makes it much more difficult.
So SWIM spent a few weeks reading the mescaline forums here and found the popular non-toxic extraction method. After some planning, hundreds of dollars were spent for the equipment and materials needed to do the extraction on roughly 15 1-foot stalks. Yields have been decent, but there have definitely been some confusing results as well. SWIM has been keeping detailed logs of each batch, and SWIM would like to take photos of the whole process for new members to learn from SWIM's mistakes.
I would mainly be posting questions/pictures/results in a single thread for the time being, but I'm not sure what else I can say to prove I'd be a valuable member of the community.

Well I suppose I'll look for a different community to join. Thanks for considering me.
