Hello everyone. Until I am able to procure a GVG (sooner than later I hope), I have been utilizing the design of the tried and tested Machine. I am curious as to what people on The Nexus use to vape their spice. I have been using a good quality torch-style cigar lighter, and I have never had a problem with under/overheating my spice. But, unfortunately, I have broken several Machines due to the rapid temperature change the glass undergoes. Is there a way to avoid this, or is it just to be expected? Would a regular Bic butane lighter provide enough heat to rapidly and efficiently vaporize DMT, without overheating the glass?

Nothing wrong with a Bic There was an oke who advocated matches I'm 100% any flame exceeds temps of 500 degrees celsius, more than hot enough if close enough to vaporise spice I like Bics. But I like torches too Bic is like a crispy vape, while a torch cuts straight thru haha This is all machine related I have no experience with a GVG With every great plan comes the pleasure of patience. Take a rest, and grab a suckle off the teat of life!

Thanks, I haven't tried with a Bic yet, as I thought it might not be hot enough. It is nice to get a full dose vaporized almost instantaneously but if it would lessen the risk of breaking my pieces, I may have to switch to matches or a Bic. Luckily I have only had bottles break while I was loading the device... I can't imagine how difficult it might be to deal with broken glass mid-launch!

I use a kitchen torch-the ones chefs use and they can be found in most kitchen supply stores. It makes everything heat up fast and no burnt thumbs waiting for things to happen They can be refilled and mine has lasted three years now-great investment over throw away lighters I think http://www.amazon.com/Og...id=1378896768&sr=1-6Perhaps I am asking the wrong questions but it doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.

I always use a normal bic lighter and it works perfectly. A question for you other guys though. Do you actually inhale with the flame running through the bottle neck, or hold it underneath the glass where the spice is resinated? Cheers "Better safe than sectioned."

With the hole facing downwards, draw the flame to entrance of the hole.. Its ok as long as no direct flame contact Like how a hot-air balloon operates With every great plan comes the pleasure of patience. Take a rest, and grab a suckle off the teat of life!

Cheers Changalvia. I'd actually been doing it with the flame actually hitting the resin and I was having massive break throughs. Is your method even more effective in terms of the quality of the break through or just that there's no waste? Peace "Better safe than sectioned."

Was it not harsh? Plastic taste that way? I think the resin might be protecting it.. What doses were you using at a time? I'm sure you'll find using less with this method will be more advantagious.. And also if that were pure white spice it would probably kill your throat.. I know mine died Its not fun running midway thru a trip (it does work, yes, but it sucks) to go and dry heave / swallow water / gargle that burn / taste away.. Its like smoking plastic coat hangers lol use the heat / hot air rushing from the flame, not the actual flamestart like 2 inches away, and slowly bring the flame tip closer, you'll see the vapors wisp out thinly.. The rest is up to your control as to heat intensityfind the sweet spotWith every great plan comes the pleasure of patience. Take a rest, and grab a suckle off the teat of life!

The stuff was yellow. Basically it was my second time ever smoking the spice. I didn't have scales but had virtually minimal amounts as I'd wasted a lot the previous night. The first time I used the foil and plastic bottle method and that felt like smoking an industrial waste factory. Anyway, wanting to utilize what little I had left, I did my research and made the machine. I set the scene and instructed my friend to assist me with the third hit etc. However I was convinced that the amount of spice would be insufficient for a break through. I held it and drew the flame through the neck, I couldn't taste a thing and thought that I simply wasn't inhaling anything. In literally about 10 seconds, or however long I managed to hold my breath for I knew I was gonna lift off. The last memory was of my friend trying to put the machine in my mouth and make me take a second, but I was gone. Literally away with the fairys. peace "Better safe than sectioned."

What's more, both me and my girlfriend broke through at least 7 times more without even refilling. "Better safe than sectioned."

Do you usually have the inhalation hole in your mouth as your heating it? Or just watch and then put it in when you think there's enough smoke in the chamber? "Better safe than sectioned."

Lol whatever works for you dudie The way I do it aint gonna work if I'm not sucking the bottle to let hot air rush thru the spice particles. Its instantaneous.. It silently "pops" (in a sense) when I get that sweet spot.. And boy is it sweet Spice tastes rather floral for me Go well With every great plan comes the pleasure of patience. How long do you guys find best for heating it? Also, I try to suck the air in while heating. Would anyone advise against that?

I usually only heat the glass for a few seconds. I can't see any reason why it would be a bad idea to inhale while heating it. "Better safe than sectioned."

I guess the next step is to try and find something made of tougher glass, or just go with a GVG - I do prefer the DIY approach, though (and have had otherwise great results using The Machine); any advice? P.S. In my experience, unless I'm drawing breath the vapour doesn't emerge into the chamber (in any significant amount). changalvia wrote:Spice tastes rather floral for me Likewise. I don't really know what to tell you, except try to find a small bottle with thicker glass. A small bottle made of Pyrex or borosilicate glass would probably be the best, if such a thing exists... Or, as you said, go for the GVG.
