Thought I'd toss this up just as a hello.

I'd guess I'm like most people here: I'm just curious about things, I like to learn how to make things, tend living things, watch them grow. IN SEARCH OF.... Ha! Truth, Beauty, The Good. And as much understanding as I can take. Luckily I haven't been overwhelmed yet. I find the DMT trip so fascinating and appealing. It helps re-orient myself and my thinking and guides me to continue on in a psychedelic state long after I've come down.

I used to drink too much, now I don't. I don't smoke cigs anymore. I think of DMT as a tool for holistic health of the mind and body. I like what Shulgin and his wife were getting at, and do my own approximation. Toward this end, I don't think being in a positive mindset or thinking pleasant thoughts are at all necessary to have a rewarding spice experience. I use it to accelerate and expand my understanding of the things that trouble me and I'm thankful that it's been a warm, compassionate, welcoming "spirit". [I don't like that word and it's not well chosen but that's what I'll live with. I hope my meaning is clear.]

I find the various entities I encounter to be a pleasure, even if they are not perfectly appealing.

Also, there is the very beautiful experience of turning on old friends and sharing the experience together. It is a powerful bonding that I'm sure most here are familiar with.

And there are the funny episodes. For instance, I was thinking last night that "The Matrix" is one of the best depictions of DMT awakening packaged in a big budget movie. The underlying details and story and characters all seem to fit. [The second two chapters failed under the weight of the dogma and architecture of the world the writers chained themselves to. Sort of like Ayn Rand's writing in this flaw: pass off a philosophy as a movie and you'll likely fail.]

I feel like the best is yet to come for the first time in many years, so I'm thankful for that.

That's about all for now.

Peace.
