Hey folks,

I've been lurking this site for a long time now so I thought it's about time I registered and gave something back to the community. I've been exploring DMT intermittently for many years now, I generally use a simple STB extraction method followed by repeated recrystallisations in heptane to obtain a pure product. I am however interested in adopting new techniques to get the purest product with max yield.

I hope to be able to aid others with their DMT journey as well as be guided by fellow travelers.

So you are well ahead of me in which case I feel like you should be giving me a welcome

I too use the simple STB method but have never tried to re-crystalize. What's your view...is it a huge difference or only marginal?

Well I usually pull all my extracts together after freeze precipitation and then recrystallise with a good pinch of activated charcoal in heptane. I find this very effective at removing impurities and end up with beautiful crystals. It also works great for old DMT, I had some stuff that was around 3 years old, it had turned into an orange gunge - after one recrystalliastion it was an off-white colour.
