Hi all!
Just wanted to post about some strange experiences I had recently. A couple weeks ago, after taking several hits of taking DMT, I blasted off into another realm. Usually when this happens I feel as though I'm traveling beyond or through space and time, but during this instance I felt as though I was immobile, stuck, almost like I was part of a rock. I was listening to the song Lighthouse by New Villager, and towards the end of the song when they repeat "Keep it up don't stop don't lose your place...", I saw two giant gods or possibly wizards below me. I only saw one of their faces, which had a long white beard, and typical Zeus/Greek facial features. From my perspective they seemed as wide as football fields, tall as skyscrapers, but I saw them lifting off from the ground below me, flying up into the sky, twisting around each other as though they were preparing for a grand battle.
Now usually when I take DMT, the situations feel “hyper-real”, and I don't know if maybe I've just been watching too much star trek recently, but this experience felt eerily like a computer simulation, maybe on a holodeck... but that may be besides the point. What I found quite strange and unique about this particular experience was that when the two deities flew past me, it felt as if one of their capes had passed right through me, and it felt like I was a victim of a gigantic paper cut severing my entire body. I had never felt pain while tripping up until this point, so it was a bit unsettling, especially because my normal mantra before tripping is “nothing can hurt me”. The pain was bearable, but I remember uttering "ouch" as they passed threw me. It really made me question whether the pain was caused from my own mind, or from an external source, but of course my experience was subjective… and I was under the influence.
Then, last night, I blasted off again and something similar, but even more extraordinary happened. I can't remember much of the beginning of the trip, but I do remember once again feeling stationary and immobile. I felt myself being thrown against a forcefield or barrier if you will. I remember seeing a bunch of green foliage, and maybe a reptilian eye on the other side of the barrier, and as I was pushed/forced upon this wall, I felt a very similar, although not as intense, pain sensation as I did the previous time. I instantly was reminded of the prior experience and was not as unsettled as before.
But then, I remember turning my head to the right. I saw this plane or wave of blue light coming towards me as if it were scanning for something. As the wave of light traveled threw my head, the music from my headphones became fuzzy with static. I don’t normally experience auditory hallucinations, so the fact the visual and auditory sensations occurred on queue freaked me out. I then saw the wave of light focus and lock on me like a homing beacon. It felt as though an entity was searching for a presence and found me, but refused to communicate. When I came back to, I was still so startled by the static noises I heard, I decided to call my sister to explain what had happened. While she has familiarity with psychedelics herself, there’s nothing more frustrating than being unable to share an experience with someone in its proper form. As much as you want someone else to analyze something that happened to you, it only happened to you.
I’m not sure why, but a couple hours later I decided to try again. I filled up my volcano with 40mg and inflated my bag. I remember taking at least the first hit, but the next thing I remember was seeing metaphorical imagery of the multiverse as a fractal. I saw how each universe or part of the multiverse branched off into smaller universes and multiverses, how each part seemed to be a mirror image of the whole, and how each of the branches were reaching out to infinity. Overall it felt like the embraces of a very motherly and warm creator. When I came back to, I picked up the vaporizer bag, and without even thinking about it, I inhaled. Less than a second later I realized that before I had just taken a breath, the bag felt as though it were completely full. I was so confused. How could I have had such an intense trip without even breathing in that much? Had I taken it all and the bag magically refilled?
Obviously I have no physical evidence for any of these experiences, which make them incredibly frustrating. Has anyone else felt as though an experience they had bled into the physical realm? I’d be quite interested to hear similar stories ☺. Thanks!
