First of all, I must add that I'm glad that places like this exist on the Internet. Without these kinds of places, information would be hard to find and an uneducated psychonaut such as myself would be unable to get the answers they needed (possibley leading to the abuse of certain substances).

Hello! I am an 18 year old psychonaut, been dabbling with psychedelics for only a year, so I'm extremely new to this exciting world. I'm not blowing my own trumpet, but I think I have an intelligent, well-rounded head on my shoulders which is willing to look at the use of psychedelics, especially DMT, with an open mind! I joined this forum in the hopes that I can expand on my knowledge on the Spirit Molecule and to learn how to properly harness it's power.

I'm open to answer any questions you have regarding my experience, there's very little experience here, but everyone starts somewhere right? Smile

Welcome to the forum Zhiqua,

indeed it seems the internet and a few very selected books are the only places that provide information on these subjects, and unfortunately it's not always well rounded out or scientifically based what you find, even on the internet. Here we do try our best to give just this info. The good and the bad, the risks and the possible benefits.

Don't worry about not being experienced (enough). Anyone who is interested in psychedelics, whether they have 0 experience or an entire life-time of exploration behind them, is welcome here and can share their views, their doubts and questions etc. on this fascinating topic. The rules we have set up for this place, are ment to keep up quality of the info found here, which I'm sure is what you appreciate about this site.

So, what entheogens have you tried before? Have you tried DMT and if so, in which form? What do you make of it and of psychedelics in general?

Wishing you the best on your journeys.
Cheers

Apoligies for resurrecting this thread but I've had my head in the clouds the past few months of signing up to this forum.

As far as entheogens go, I'd done LSD around 6 or 7 times, ranging from 50ug to a full on 200ug experience. I've smoked DMT freebase around 5 times but never fully broken through. Done Shrooms a few times but there is more to explore there (plus shrooms overall do not appeal to me, they are quite constant and fluid in nature, and I much prefer the chaos and madness of LSD/DMT as they constantly shift and change within the experience).

Also smoked Salvia back when I only had smoked weed. I was very inexperienced then, and it freaked me out too much that I've never used it since.

In answer to "What do you make of [DMT] and of psychedelics in general?" I find that psychedelics are the perfect outlet for me. I've always been fascinated by the brain and also hallucinogenic compounds even as a young kid. I used to always wonder what it would be like to hallucinate or to have my senses obscured. Psychedelics are great in that everytime I have a strong experience with one, I feel much more mentally stable, almost like they keep me content with living. I've noticed that they also alleviate and help me control my hypo-mania by focusing my manic energy on deep thinking and producing beautiful art all over my eyes. DMT is by far my favourite psychedelic I've tried so far. It takes me where I need to go quickly enough, and for long enough. DMT is what I imagined hallucinating to be like as a child, LSD and Shrooms have never truly done enough for me (but they are still incredible chemicals and I would happily take 150ug of acid anytime if I had nothing to worry about!)
