This topic is a little awkward and embarrassing but my curiosity is stronger than my discomfort in talking about it. Has anyone experienced the sensation that they might have lost bladder control while breaking through? I haven't actually wet myself but a when "returning" to my body, I sometimes wonder if I have? It's a strange feeling which I try to minimise by making sure I've used the bathroom just before blast off. I'm curious if this is common and if people have actually lost control of the bladder or other bodily functions? Please share your experiences as I'm really in need of some guidance! Thanks, light and love x Alis volat propriis - she flies with her own wings

I thought that I might have wet myself once while coming up on a pharma dose, but I was already so out of it that I couldn't actually determine if I did or not... I just assumed I was hallucinating and went along my way. I've never actually lost control though.

I was so confused as I came back that I couldn't quite work out what was real and what was hallucination. Just unnerved me to think that its possible to lose that much control. It's extremely common when tripping hard. Yeah, prior to hyper-flight, bladder emptying is a good idea. The body-loss that occurs could possibly cause loss of control. I ALWAYS feel wet on breakthrough doses. Sometimes all over... sometimes just like I let loose with a good whiz... to date I haven't actually wet myself. What a substance wrote:Hi I am still a little under the influence of 25mg vaped very fresh DMT. But I am sober. I am lucid. And beginning to feel like I have just been "mugged" for "someone's" pleasure. I am OK. No alarm bells. Here's what just went down: Vaped 25mg in 3 hits. Laid back (flat on my back) and looked up at the ceiling. The onset came...vibrations and a jarring like shaking of the ceiling and then...it all froze stiff. It was like the DMT was saying just stay still. And I did. And then an unmistakable feeling of liquid began to rise up my legs. I was still laid flat on my back. This liquid came right up to my gonads. At this point I am considering...did I piss myself...am I bleeding....how could that happen?...it couldn't, could it?. I lay still until is was evident this feeling was staying until the DMT began to fade. I checked my pants. Dry. I knew they would be. But then as I lay there I was absolutely sure, I felt it rather than heard it, someone was having a right good laugh at my expense. That's the story. Some of you, many of you no doubt have had similar and much weirder than that. I am still new to the business...I don't hide that. Still, I am home alone, the family are away and you peeps are the only one's I can really tell about this. My mum is old and she would just think WTF if I phoned her to tell her that. And if I told the cockerel he would just look at me as if to say "You stupid great tit". End note: If I was an entity I would probably do the same, on occasion. During my very first Ayahuasca experience I had come out of my psychedelic trance only to find my bed sheets were soaked. I was so enveloped by the experience that I let go of everything (including my bladder) and experienced a very powerful death of ego. Not wanting this to reoccur, my following trips involved being obsessive about emptying my bladder before the trip really kicked in/drinking as little water as possible. But this kind of behaviour only took enjoyment and depth from the experience. Just relax. Peace The Universe is Breathing As Above, So Below, As Within, So Without ~ message from the divine

When am on mushroom's and sitting for a period of time I always think I have pissed myself. Even if i go to the toilet to get rid of the feeling I can't piss. I have spoke to other people who also get the same feeling but never actually pissed them self. Maybe it's something to do with being completely relaxed although your body is still in control basic control which you are not focusing on. I a stranger and afraid in a world I never made

Shit the bed again...typical. ![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) The first time I tripped on Salvia, truly broke through, I pissed myself. I thought I had died and I assumed my bladder control was lost because I was so convinced that I was dead. People void their bladders and bowels when they die, right? I must have lost complete muscle control. I think it's a common feeling. Sometimes I get it on high doses of mushrooms too, the feeling, not the actual accident ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png) Have yet to experience it with DMT though.

Thank you all for your honesty and openness. I've continued the ritual of using the bathroom before blasting off and the problem has almost disappeared. I find the more relaxed I am, the less it occurs. It really helps to know I'm not alone though. Alis volat propriis - she flies with her own wings

Have done it on two occasions almost a decade ago on heavy doses of mushrooms, never since, or on anything else. I think if the dose is respectable (just right for full experience but not over the top) then you shouldn't have these issues... and maybe it all goes back to our toilet training days as kids somewhere, not sure

This never really happens to me cause in the time it takes between getting all the DMT "supplies" out, loading the GVG, and finally just trying to relax for a second, I'll typically inevitably visit the bathroom 3 times. I'm quite empty by the time I enter hyperspace usually. I wouldn't necessarily find it surprising if some individuals could not control their bladder in hyperspace. In the throws of a full body experience, with all the awareness away from the body, and either the excitement, fear, or just putting yourself "all in" and "letting go" could end up making you 'let go' of more than you intended. As children, some kids have trouble wetting the bed while asleep. Perhaps this could be attributed to a similar phenomenon that some adults can't even avoid, although I'd like to think I could control myself on a full bladder in hyperspace on a full OBE ![Laughing](/forum/images/emoticons/laughing.png) "Science without religion is lame.
