Sup ! got 500g of mhrb powder on the way. Looking forward to my first extraction and experience. Thinking about extracting in smaller batches since it's my first time. Not sure exactly what size batches. Also got a volcano for when it's ready. On the lookout for a good detailed tek for a beginner. Any advice vaping xstals in a volcano or a good tek would be appreciated. That is all. Peace !

you could do either tek with calcium hydroxide (lime). their both good teks, any preference is personal. also, i would do a 50g (100g at the most) test extraction, if that is a success, i would do the rest of it in one go (maybe break it into half during pulls). My wind instrument is the bong

Forget small extractions, its a waste of energy and materials. Go all in - makes you wanna follow the tek to the letter , which is probably a good thing.

If you are doing an STB you can just use a smaller extraction vessel as long as you use proper ratios. I prefer 15ml water and 1g lye per 1g of bark. I do think doing small A/B extractions is kind of a waste of energy though. Spending 6+ hours doing acid boils on 50g of material just seems inefficient. from expirience, quite allot of failure, trial and error. But eventually you'll get it right. Good luck. i wouldn't be firing up the volcano quite yet.
