One of my co-pilots has been keeping eyes open during his flights. He tells me that sometimes he can't help but keep his eyes open.

I've experienced this once while looking at a corn field... the corn looked alive in a way... like I could see the spirit of every plant and it caught me in a trance.

But, anyway, I'll get to a point while smoking where everything converges and I can't help but being blasted off and my eyes closing seem to just be a side effect.

Does anyone else have trouble closing their eyes? Should I just let him be and not worry about him opening his eyes? He seems to move around a lot of says very random things too. Also, he can't remember much... and we're smoking the same thing. I get my mind totally blown and remember a lot.

Just curious/slightly concerned about my buddy's experiences.
Oh my god. I broke it. I broke reality.

When I journey I don't usually get to choose if I close or open my eyes, the substance just tells me (or makes me) to open or close eyes.

my exp is pretty similar to ymer's they would close on the blast off then i would open them up to reflect on what i just witnessed and then they would close again, and then i would be back to where i was.

"The man who comes back through the Door in the Wall will never be quite the same as the man who went out. He will be wiser but less sure, happier but less self-satisfied, humbler in acknowledging his ignorance yet better equipped to understand the relationship of words to things, of systematic reasoning to the unfathomable mystery which it tries, forever vainly, to comprehend." The lighting is usually dim and we try to have no noise or very quit nature-y music playing.

I finally understand why he keeps his eyes open. The other night I tried to overcome the urge to close my eyes and experienced OEV. It's incredible... everything looked like Legos that were changing texture rapidly and my friends had two extra eyes right above their normal eye placement. I could also see through them... at least it seemed like I could.

So, now I understand why my co-pilot will sometimes look over and just go, ".......WOAH!!" when he looks at me. He gets all that stuff going on.

So my one experience with spice... I was able to get 4 big hits with a crude smoking device (burning it for sure) before I felt my body start to disappear. I handed off the device to my co-pilot, sat back on the couch and closed my eyes. All of the sudden my eyes were forced open and the first thing i recall seeing was all of my friends had eyes in the center of the foreheads. This looked more real than real life. I find it incredible that we seen similar things with our eyes open. I also seen a huge snake slithering around my ceiling, and my cat revealed herself as alien, as she was made of shiny metal and ran around my living room at hyper speed. lol
