Anyone here have major failure stories they'd like to share? Ill start. I recently knew someone that had JUST finished 10g of the prettiest fluffy snow and was putting it away. He put it all in a little tiny box and sat it at the edge of the table and went to grab the lid. Mind you he uses a box fan to cool the room he's in and its located just beneath the table. No sooner does he turn around from grabbing the lid on the other side of the room does he see a terrible chain of events occur. The box fan falls backwards and bumps the table. The little box the was sitting on the edge of the table falls off. Not only does it fall off but it fell straight into the fan blades. POOF. Everything flies into the air in every direction. That's horribly lame For me, nothing more than a couple saturated NPS spills... Way more cautious now anyways. Hoping I don't ever feel the need to add to this list again (: With every great plan comes the pleasure of patience. Take a rest, and grab a suckle off the teat of life!

This happened the first time ever I lovingly prepared a couple grams of changa mix, and before even trying it I realized it was probably too high on the harmalas side. So I dissolve in acetone the oily leftovers from the final extraction evap, and pour the acetone into the plastic vial with the changa blend for evaporation. A couple hours later, both acetone and changa were dark pink and the vial started to look like a bubbling blob. The mother of all facepalms ensued. "The Menu is Not The Meal." - Alan Watts

One time I sat a jar of base soup on top of the stove(not on a burner, just sitting on the metal), and the oven was on. I dunno hot it got hot enough to crack the glass, but it did. The whole jar burst it pieces and 1500ml of ph13.5 soup went all over my kitchen. Dripped inside the stove, it got underneath my microwave, the glass from the explosion left gashes in the microwave, the floor was stained a little bit pink in a huge puddle starting from my stove(previously whitefloors). That was sooo not fun to clean up. 3rdI wrote:I over filled a glass bottle with brewed mimosa and stuck it in the freezer, it didn't do well, on the up side my frozen peas are now mimosatastic Haha. Nice. This reminds me of the first time I freeze precipped. I did it in an open pan that I sat in my freezer full of food we just bought. Do you know how nasty naptha-tainted food is? I TRIED eating one of the steaks from in there. It did not taste good. "I am cursed by the blossoming knowledge of my feminine ideal and she looks suspiciously like you."

That's too tragic and hilarious at once. I would vacuum the whole room and STB the dust from the cylinder. Art Van D'lay wrote:Smoalk. It. And. See.

About a year ago I threw a jar of old mimosa soup (which was leaking) into a bag of garbage and started taking it into the hall and down three flights of stairs from my apartment to the bin outside... little did I know there would be a trail of black goop that followed me. I tried to clean some of it up, but it ended up staining most of the hall. Everyone in the building probably new where it was coming from because the trail led almost right to my door. Luckily I was moving out a week later and was also very lucky no one said anything.
I have also managed to break 2 glass turkey basters within an hour.

Not extraction related, but I once tried to test how buccally active freebase DMT would be by rubbing it on my gums. I had been warned that it might be rough, but I was pretty sure I could handle it, so I sat down, poured out maybe 50 mg, and used my finger to smear the powder all over my gums, and waited for some kind of blastoff. My reaction went like so: "Oh yeah, this is nothing, no pain, this is going to rock. Bring on the aliens!" "Hmm, there's a tingle, still not too bad though, where's the trip?" "HOLY MOTHER OF GOD MY MOUTH IS FILLED WITH FLAMING ACID!!" Suffice to say I rinsed my mouth our really well and never got so much as threshold effects. Definitely a waste of good freebase. My gums where sore for about a day afterwards, and I couldn't drink grapefruit juice comfortably all that weekend. Blessings ~ND "There are many paths up the same mountain."

In the middle of an extraction I once knocked over some glassware and in the attempt to save things mid air, the movement made me grab the glass as it broke and cut my finger really bad, blood dripping all over the place... I'd have to go to the hospital get some stitches no doubt due to how deep and wide it was, but decided to instead stick my finger in a glass full of mimosa powder, and interesting enough, it really stopped the blood flow immediately. So I had my finger with this really thick mimosa crust, and decided to finish the extraction Later that day it was painful to wash the cut and remove the mimosa powder but it was a good decision I think, it healed decently fast.

I once had just made 2g of super pure DMT fumarate and was letting it finish drying, then accidentally dumped at least half of it out of the glass and all over my carpet (which was filthy). I spent an hour picking up as much of it as I could (got most of it, but with some nasty dirt/hair).
Another time I was trying to separate an emulsion and decided to put my extraction jar onto a running washing machine. Like an idiot, I started it up and walked away. 5 minutes later I heard a sickening crash as 1L of pH 13+ mimosa soup went all over the concrete floor. It took 3 hours to fully clean the area, first to soak up the soup, then washed it with vinegar.

Luckily, so far no major fail occured to me. But once i got a nice little message from mimosa as i tried to use my too old pressure cocker. It couldn´t hold the pressure and left a beautiful image on the wall (see attached). I was happy to see that As for the accidents where some spice (or whatever) is falling on the ground: Years ago during adolesence, i was chillin with some homies. One spilled his weed when he was about to put it in a bong. We all laughed hard beacause it was his last stuff. But he stood up and got the vacuum cleaner. He put some strong tissue above the tube and started to vacuum the carpet. All the weed ended up in the tissue. He turned it around, turned of the vacuum and took the weed out with ease. We where left speechelss about such good (and stoned) improvisation. A trick i will never forget Paradoxon attached the following image(s): SD4_0001.jpg (242kb) downloaded 90 time(s).Are we a human being with a spiritual experience, or are we a spiritual being with a human experience?

^___^ Vodsel, years ago i once did the same thing - acetone in a pink plastic container. But luckily i hadn't added any dmt/herbs yet, since it was only to measure the amount Not a monumental screwup but a few months ago i put a big mason jar containing 500g of syrian rue and some water in the freezer overnight before blending it all up and brewing the next day...the next morning i realized the thick glass had cracked all over the place and i had to pry it piece by piece off the block of frozen rue
<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

I love glass in my extracts. Adds weight. "I am cursed by the blossoming knowledge of my feminine ideal and she looks suspiciously like you."
