Clyde asks:
"I've prepared a Syrian Rue tea from 3.5g of seeds. Would I be advised to consume all 3.5g in one dose, or split in half and consume 1.75g then another 1.75g a few hours later? Reading the Erowid experience reports, it appears possible that the tea could cause nausea if too much is ingested. I've ask in another topic but I can only post here as a new member."

Eat some ginger to help preventing some of the nausea. Other than that, I'd say you have to accept the possibility of nausea as a common aspect of taking psychedelics/related substances. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger Also, taking everything separated by a few hours will mean you won't have as strong experience... Lastly, are you just taking syrian rue by itself, without any DMT involved? What for?

Clyde is a human who appears as an Orangutan to himself and not-himself (don't ask me why), and prefers to be referred to as an Organutan. Not doing so upsets him.

Ok I confess it's me who is ingesting the Rue and not my imaginary friend Clyde. Right, the Rue only is as an experiment because of my tentative nature and I'd rather become accustomed to the nausea because attempting Rue+DMT. I have DMT and a GVG and will in the future take Rue then vape DMT as needed. I considered capsules of DMT but this seems a waste of my valuable and limited spice stores when 20mg is enough in a GVG. Anything else I've forgotten? And thanks for the ginger idea, I've already done some research and have prepared ginger tea, ready as an aid against nausea.
And hello all.

Ginger tea won't work though, you need to eat the ginger pieces because the substances that are anti-nausea are not water soluble. Hello

Thank you, that's some very useful information. http://www.webmd.com/vit...iveIngredientName=GINGER"Nausea and vomiting following surgery. Most clinical research shows that taking 1 gram of ginger one hour before surgery seems to reduce nausea and vomiting during the first 24 hours after surgery. One study found ginger reduced nausea and vomiting by 38%. However, ginger might not reduce nausea and vomiting in the period 3-6 hours after surgery." So a gram or two in capsules with the Rue.

Hi, For me, (and I weight about 180 pounds) Rue tea from 3,5g would fully inhibit me. For Pharmahuasca journeys, I take 2,5-3g of Rue. In Dubio: if you want to drink Rue to see how you´ll react to it... then why not drinking it all at once? In Dubio wrote:I... will in the future take Rue then vape DMT I did this a few times, and those belong to the most intense and crazy experiences. Smoking DMT while being orally fully inhibited intensifies the experience about three times, so please be carefull and measure your dose carefully. Myself, I would start with no more than 10-12mg...

In Dubio: if you want to drink Rue to see how you´ll react to it... then why not drinking it all at once? Having taken Ibogaine and experienced the horror of ataxia, nausea and vomiting, I am not risking a repeat in the case of me being hypersensitive to harmalas. I'm still not sure if it's worth eating anything, I'm damn hungry and plan on taking the Rue in about 6 hours. Edit: I forgot the other reason why I'm not adding DMT and that is because I used a cold water + lemon, left overnight TEK with the Rue. The TEK was posted on Myotopia and another poster vouched for its effectiveness. But not wanting to waste precious DMT in the event of a failure I'm using this as a test run.

I find I don't get any nausea from extracted harmalas, only from a full rue brew or Aya. If you really don't want to be sick you could try that. any reason you chose CWE over boiling? INHALE, SURVIVE, ADAPT it's all in your mind, but what's your mind??? fool of the year

Because I'm a lazy dog. The 'trip' was non-eventful and now I'm in the process of boiling Caapi leaves in water to make some Changa. Again, I can't post in the appropriate forum so my questions must go here.
When boiling the water with the Caapi, should I aim to be boiling for as long as reasonably possible to extract as much of the active ingredients? The TEK in the changa forum recommened approximately two hours of boiling before straining the leaves.

Well that went well, 8g Caapi boiled and reduced to about 10ml of dark red fluid. Can I put it in the oven to speed up the evaporation process? I plan to evaporate off the water before mixing with the Caapi leaf and DMT to ensure that I get a 1:1 Extract : DMT ratio.

With some time the water evaporated and I'm left with 270mg of Caapi extract which is a brown/black thick visvous substance. Is this what was supposed to happen? I can't see how this can dissolve in 99% IPA.

You could mix it with a bit of base (sodium carb, calcium hydroxide, whatever), and then pull with ethanol (or IPA, but ethanol better), and evap onto herbs. Otherwise the solvent wont dissolve well the harmalas if they are in salt form.

Well thanks for the information, I'll look into this. Any chance of me being made a full member so I can post questions in the Changa forum?
Update: So how about I simply weigh a small ball (~20mg) of my Caapi Goo, weigh my DMT (~20mg), then roll the Goo ball in the DMT like you would a truffle in chocolate powder, and place this in the GVG with a few Caapi leaves. Is this a solid idea? Seems a lot easier than another chemistry experiment with no or little loss of effectiveness.
