You do not have to see alike, feel alike or even think alike in order spiritually to be alike

My initial reaction was " oh crap spit it out " followed by, " oh well whatever happens happens". It was enough to swish around my mouth and swallow.

I'd probably be able to handle it better now, however, I doubt i would go for it again.

Back when lsd was more available I think this would be a wonderful experience.. But if i had that much L, it would be a better experience to dose as many people that would like too... Good L is scarce now. ~Spread the Love

Leon, I agree completely! I think it is borderline selfish/wasteful to consume that much L. Any way you slice it, much more good would come of spreading it far and wide to friends and like minded strangers than MASSIVELY OVERDOSING and being unable to recall 90% of the experience. This is how I see it anyways.

EDIT: Thank you for that inside scoop Dark Star! Fascinating stuff.

I see the LSD thumbprint thing as a Macho behaviour exhibited by megalomaniacs & narcicists who have to constantly prove how hardcore and how daredevil they are. These are often the ones who cross the line, end up psychotic and
give Psychedelics a bad name.

I have once done 2 and a half blotters of acid. I was electrified & my consciousness was "overpowered". It was amusing
for a while but soon it became uncomfortable, exhausting and even somewhat deliriant. I had these thoughtprocesses that
grabbed my awareness out of the physical world and into an inner world. Each time I would come back to the physical world and find myself doing something on autopilot; completely unaware. Some times I caught myself in the process of openning the acid baggie to eat more blotters...then realising that I REALLY shouldn't have anymore given the condition I was in.

All in all I was still having fun, but just barely. This overpowered, high dose trip is not the acid trip I like.
I much prefer a more grounded, stable & aware experience as I experience when taking a half to 1 whole blotter.

I guess I'm really sensative to Psychedelics. LSD, DMT, Mushrooms...I never need much to go very deep.
Alot of people brag about how much they can take without feeling anything...but they're really just Insensitive: Which really isn't something to brag about. Instead it's something they should lament.

I guess these people have massive ego barriers keeping the transformative effects of Psychedelics at bay.

The people I know that have taken them are anything but megalomaniacs. They're also not the ones that give psychedelics a bad name. It was done for a specific purpose, when the people were ready for it.

I didn't take the time to read the responses of others, so if this bit of info was already covered I apologize. No, they are not rumors, and you heard correctly. A thumbprint is a widely used term, maybe not so widely practiced... But the most common place where you will hear of a "thumbprint" being given.. It's usually as in induction into a "psychedelic family". If you know what I mean by that then good, if not, then it isn't my place to talk about it or to tell anyone. But yes, thumbprints do happen. Hope this was helpful or interesting in some way.

Peace, Love, and Happy Travels.
Maybe we don't know what we need.

Love this thread. It is very mysterious and wonderful and inspiring to talk about this level of experience.

I can try to image what it's like but I don't believe I can..

Wish there was a way to get clean/real LSD these days..

The thought always scared me, until recently, now desiring such an experience.

However, I'm no family man.

Yes, reading about it makes you curious.

i think that this is quite naive really.... you don't seem to have a problem with people breaking through on dmt and ayahuasca though? from what I have read it sounds like this experience is quite unique in that it takes one through a completely out of body state for much longer than most other psychedelics. like breaking through on dmt but for days...and I can totally see why somebody might be inclined to undertake such an experience for their own personal growth... just because you cannot fathom why it would be useful does not mean that it isn't and it certainly doesn't make those people macho megalomanians or narcisists. each to their own.. one cannot deny that a thumbprint experience would be a truly deep and life changing experience... I think anybody with the balls to embark on such an experience would likely have much differen't intentions in doing so to the above quote.. this is serious stuff
