Hello DMTers,

I'm hoping to learn more about how you relate to your DMT experiences. As a place to start...

Do you feel that DMT reveals a reality that exists independently of DMT? This might be compared to using a telescope, where a mechanical device assists us in seeing real things we can't view with the naked eye.

Or, do you feel that DMT creates these experiences in your brain? This might be compared to wearing tinted sunglasses, where the reality doesn't change, but our experience of it does.

I realize that the dualistic nature of this question may itself be a problem. If you feel this to be the case, your analysis is most welcome.

Thanks!

Phil

I strongly feel that the experience we find ourselves in when imbibing is one that's always there. We've always been there. We're there right now. We are the physical reflection of the ineffable (of hyperspace). The activity of the molecule within out brain allows us to see our reflection briefly (and the reflection of the rest of nature)

Sure, the molecule acts on specific receptors, but that's where it ends. I strongly feel that we'll never be able to completely explain the actual experience. It's outside of human description..

much love,
tat

...of course, the experience comes from the DMT, its not within the DMT. Wut?

That's a better question and I doubt you will get a definitive answer. For me, its a mystery...and I have elected to do battle with it. If it's in my mind, then I know nothing about my mind. If it's external to my mind then humanity knows nothing about the universe (in it's narrow and broad definition...if that makes sense) Confused

If pressed, I'd say the answer includes both opinions...but I am still pressing on in an investigatory capacity...as it's so rewarding Shocked
