Sorry I dont want to be a pain but Icaro is not a vendor, its the name given by a vendor to a plant.Do you want me to name the website's name and even the vendor´s name? because its not Icaro, Icaro is the name of his product.I did remove the word (Icaro) that was making some people inconfortable from my first post just because I think its quite irrelevant anyway.
Moderators, If I am wrong please remove this post, because I am saying the word ICARO.

Nah it's fine. Thanks for clarifying.

maybe he's not even a vendor anymore- i haven't ordered anything for years now.

but "icaros" is referencing a vendor ( a guy i like alot!)- i guess it is also referencing the type peruvianoid. the one he sent so many of us as seed over the years ... now vendors use it as a marketing term??

you referring to dried cacti ordered from a random vendor and not the guy in peru?
sorry

Nice mescaline location! My first full-blown mescaline trip was also in the mountains, the Sierra Nevada in Spain. Hard to imagine going bad on mescaline in the mountainsSmile

With regards to pressure cooker tea, I extracted mescaline from chips from the same source with a PC. Had a not-so-ideal yield (about 0,5%). I boiled it for quite a long time, so I'm curious if the loss appeared during boiling or when reducing my salted product (mesc sulfate solution). I'll make a comparison between STB (if I can get the sludge under control) and A/B with pressure cooker, this time taking care not to scorch final product. Hopefully up in a few weeks.

Without going into a source discussion, it seems to me that sometimes vendors will offer a very good product at first to make a good reputation, and eventually end up selling an inferior product once they develop some loyalty. There's a big difference in potency between strictly green tissue chips and chips that still have the majority of the white inner tissue intact.

sorry to bump this but i plan on doing something similar very soon. A question if i may oneistheall on your method.

Ive got an aluminium pc and im worried about adding acidic solutions to it. Do you think if i cook for 10mins at 15psi like 6 times with adding 200ml white vinegar and 2000mg ascorbic acid the cooker will be fine? or shall i go with the longer method of boiling on the stove top in a stainless steel pot?

@kyle mc doggety dog man

yo bro, too much acid in that brew dude

you dont even need acid for extracting mesc with a pressure cooker. mesc is super water soluble, not to say no acid is best but id side wayyy more on the 0 acid than the 2 grams of vitamin c

it probably wont harm anything but your stomach, that much acid causes unessary discomfort during a cactus experience. if its for further extraction, youll end up needing extra base just to neutralize

pc are the way to go for cactus cooking

cubed cacti about 1cm-1inch squares
i go with 35 min pc at 15psi x4 (or 3)

thanks ipumaestro

it is for further extracttion. So you use no acid during cooking? Or you have a stainless steel cooker? thinking of maybe investing in thatBig grin but i have the aluminium one now and want to get it over and done with... if i plan on doing an A/B extraction with the solution once done with the pc?

If you are going to do an a/b on the tea after an aluminum pot/pc cook, you should be fine.

The aluminum won't be soluble in your np, and if your really precise with your extraction tek, there should be no/negligible traces of aluminum in your end product.

And i think, if you aren't using an acid to cook your tea, and you use distilled water/cubed cactus, there should be no issue anyway. I think its only acidic water, and the cactus flesh should not drop your water ph much at all iirc.

In a society in which nearly everybody is dominated by somebody else's mind or by a disembodied mind, it becomes increasingly difficult to learn the truth about the activities of governments and corporations, about the quality or value of products, or about the health of one's own place and economy.
In such a society, also, our private economies will depend less upon the private ownership of real, usable property, and more upon property that is institutional and abstract, beyond individual control, such as money, insurance policies, certificates of deposit, stocks, etc. And as our private economies become more abstract, the mutual, free helps and pleasures of family and community life will be supplanted by a kind of displaced citizenship and by commerce with impersonal and self-interested suppliers...
The great enemy of freedom is the alignment of political power with wealth. This alignment destroys the commonwealth - that is, the natural wealth of localities and the local economies of household, neighborhood, and community - and so destroys democracy, of which the commonwealth is the foundation and practical means.” - Wendell Berry

What type of cloth is that? I can only seem to find 60%poly/40%cotton Wut? Will that do the trick?
