Hi Nexus
To start with the basics; I've experimented with LSD, mushrooms, DMT, and just recently, 4-Aco-DMT. Some experiences were good, some were bad. Ive done one A/B ACRB extraction so far.
I am here for help with integration and to offer what I can to other people's questions or experiences.
Psychedelics, in a way, jettison you through an experience that is sought by all religions, in their own ways, the mystical experience. To me, the dissolution of the ego---the entering of the flow state is accessible in our daily lives, through zazen, martial arts, sports, yoga, sex etc., but really only fleetingly, depending on your experience. The psychedelic experience is completely different in that you are going there whether you like it or not and that can be premature for a lot of people, including myself.
When you study zen, esoteric christianity or gnosis, hinduism, sufism etc. you come to understand this flow state through direct experience over a long period of time, you know how to navigate the waters. Psychedelics open you up to a lot of different energies and without any kind of mastery, you can get lost without any outside input. I am here for that outside input because it helps to open up to new ways of thinking and interpretation. The Nexus is a community that doesn't openly exist in the "real world" because of the stigma that surrounds our common hobby, which sucks cause it is needed. I know I can learn something from your experiences as well and hopefully we can come closer to figuring out what the hell is going on in this crazy place we live.
I read and listen to a lot of Robert Anton Wilson, have delved into Joseph Campbell, I am currently trying to make sense of the Tao Te Ching, and also practice some T'ai Chi and Yoga. I am also beginning Prometheus Rising by Robert Anton Wilson.
Thanks for reading.

Howdy, Deevil. Welcome.
I agree, meditation classes, way back as a teenager prepared me to make some great use of low DMT doses, but as far as breakthrough... whooops, wrong universe! None of that applied.
Meditation helps though when you're back to try and integrate that which you can not un-see... un-experience.

Hi Deevil, Welcome to the Nexus. Thank you for submitting an Introduction Essay. mjc90 vouches for you so I'm going to vote Yes for Promotion. Maybe join us in the chat someday soon. In the interim, please check over the links in your welcome PM and take a good look around here. It takes awhile to get up to speed on what's going on here, the culture, attitude, etc. I certainly hope you will like what you find and I look forward to seeing more of you around. Congratulations on your rapid Promotion - now you can post anywhere in the Forums. But, even though you weren't here long, I hope you will not forget the Welcome Area - continue to check it out and post when you feel like it. Welcome to the Nexus. I think you will find what you are looking for here. At any rate, I voted for you... Peace, HF "Curiouser and curiouser..." ~ Alice
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ Buddha

Thanks for the reply. You are definitely right about nothing really preparing you for the full dmt experience and I may have been a little pretensious when I wrote that since I havent been to hyperspace for a couple years now. I think any kind of studying or practice, along with psychedelics, helps keep you open to thinking differently about your reality and different ways of interpreting your experiences.

Welcome Deevil, This community is definitely a diamond in the rough. The mix of human beings that frequent this forum make for such an incredible diversity and resource for collaboration. Bottom line: we are all brought here because of this experience. It's truly unlike anything else in life, and once sufficient depth is reached via DMT, you begin to realize how mind blowing 'Life" really is, and how incredibly special and sacred everything really is. I hope you find what your looking for here. It's an endless journey we're all on. A constant evolving of ones Self. Good of you to join this evolution ![Pleased](/forum/images/emoticons/happy.png) much love, tat

Welcome, I myself am new here, but not new to all of this. The Tao Te Ching is sitting on my desk in front of me right now, it only makes sense when you don't try to make sense of it. Cheers!! "I am that which thou art, thou art that which I am."
