First of all, I have never gone very far with DMT before, mostly because of my damn anxiety and also due to the lack of a good setting. Long story short me and my band went out of town last week to play at a rock festival. We had enough time on our hands so we took a three-day vacation in a nearby town before heading to the actual festival. The weather was great and we were staying in a small fjord surrounded by mountains and waterfalls which made for a perfect setting for a couple of DMT experiences.
Experience 1:The first day we decided to go hiking. It was our aim to get to the peak of the nearest mountain but my feet had become so exhausted halfway through we just sat down in the hill alongside a small stream/waterfall. We drank some water from the stream before we all sat down and I began loading my GVG. I took several hits and lay down on the grass.
The CEVs were mild, although much stronger than all my previous times. I saw two geometric circles that changed colors from bright pink to bright yellow to sky blue. At times I wasn't even sure whether it was just part of the colors in my mind or if I was looking up at the actual sky through my closed eyelids. Ultimately the circles began to merge until they formed what seemed like a tunnel. It felt really nice and comfortable just watching the visuals before they began to slowly fade away. It wasn't very intense, just beautiful and relaxing.
My two friends had a go as well. One of them described a "stoned" feeling while the other described some pretty visuals similar to mine. We sat there for a while and talked about our experiences before heading back home.
Experience 2:The next day we decided to take a walk in a nearby forest. We didn't know the area that well so we decided to just walk until we'd find a good spot. It had been raining that day so our feet had became quite wet but we just kept on walking until we came across a nice spot. It was a small cliff with a good view over the trees below. I pulled out my camping chair, sat down and began loading my GVG with an unknown amount of spice, although quite more than the previous day. Rainy day or not, this time I wanted to go all the way.
I took it all in in a single hit and closed my eyes. In a matter of seconds I felt my body dissolve as my consciousness got pulled into an alien dimension that seemed like a giant dome made of neon pink/orange fractals and geometric patterns. They were constantly changing shapes, transforming themselves into alien-looking faces and back again into a psychedelic soup of patterns and fractals. I sensed some kind of presence but it happened so fast I'm honestly not sure if these transforming shapes were some kinds of entities or what. Elves maybe? My only thought at the moment was just "what the actual f*ck?"

I was speechless. In fact, I had completely lost my capability to speak. I tried to open my mouth to say how amazing this all was but the words just would not come out. I heard my two friends talking somewhere in the background but I couldn't comprehend what they were saying from all the DMT magic. I wasn't scared or anxious in the slightest, only stunned at how this sort of thing was even possible. I have had some incredible "breakthroughs" on mushrooms in the past but none of them came even close to what I was experiencing this time. The visuals were so crystal clear, so amazingly real yet there was no way of really describing this in plain words.
I heard a lot of sounds too. Some of them surely came from nearby birds but the ones that didn't were pitch-shifting and traveling from one ear to another as if I was listening to some weird binaural sounds through high quality headphones.
It was all so weird yet I felt so completely sane, unlike my psilocybin experiences where my mind just tends to go into some twisted thought loops and my emotions turn into a spinning rollercoaster. There was none of that crazy mindfuck here, making the experience so perfectly pure and clean I can't even… just wow.
As I was starting to come down I opened my eyes and looked over the treetops. Everything was so full of life. Each tree had its own glowing aura and personality. It was just amazing to observe it.
"Wow!" I exclaimed after several minutes of silence. I felt a bit dissociated as the visuals were fading away with a slight hint of depersonalization (which was actually my biggest fear) but after a minute or so I was back and completely myself again. After half an hour I had almost even forgotten that I had ever entered this strange fractal dome, as if it had all just been a dream.
My friends reported some amazing experiences as well, although not as intense as mine and neither of them seemed to have managed to reach the "dome".
Experience 3:There were four of us this time, me, one of my friends from before, another friend and a girl we met at the festival. The latter two didn't feel quite ready for being introduced to the DMT realm but they came along anyway to observe. After my previous experience I didn't feel the need for anything too heavy so I let my friend have most of what was left. I experienced some mild visuals while he described seeing elves or entities dancing around in the mountains. Still somewhere in the DMT realm he muttered:
"It's like in that one movie…"
"What movie?" I asked.
"That movie… uhm… Princess Mononoke?"
We all chuckled.
Needless to say these were the most memorable days of my life so far. This stuff is really something. Until now I have been afraid of psychedelics after a long and terrifying drug-induced depersonalization phase a few years back but DMT is different. Unlike psilocybin it doesn't seem to drain energy from me. After my experience in that forest I felt more calm and refreshed than ever before and the sheer beauty that one can experience from this simple molecule is like no other. Simply amazing stuff.
