I have had my arm twitch about while tripping, seems more likely when I mix with nitrous. I think it might have happened from nitrous alone too, but dmt alone as well. Is this a problem? Also im 95% positive it isn't from lack of oxygen, im usually breathing when it happens.

It usually happens when im really entranced or am in the middle of losing touch and it stops when I become aware.

I've had this happen to me before. Usually when I am beginning to break through I will start shaking.

I've seen someone else do it too. He did it really bad. He was really fighting it and ended up having a bad trip. He was trying not to let go and it translated into physical shaking. That's what I think it might be linked to. But I'm not sure. It could just be from the adrenaline.

But with nitrous, the twitching happens a lot. I've seen someone pretty much convulsing from too much nitrous before. I've mixed dmt with nitrous and usually I'm more physically calm. This has happened to me on DMT alone though.

I have had twitches whilst working with spice, as well as full on spasms that throw me around the bed!

Any idea if this is a negative side effect or concerning to your health at all or if its just something that happens sometimes. DMT or Nitrous related.

Yeah ive full on convulsed before on nitrous but on spice it seems to be only one arm unless it gets going good and then I might shake a little too.

I only remember spasming once, it was a very large jolt that threw me up in the air, rather than a long group of movements.

No idea on that one here.

I think what I have experienced seems quite similar to jerks/twitches I get whilst going to sleep and sometimes during sleep. Whether they are in any way related I have no idea though.

On a lot of vaped dmt trips I get seemingly possessed and moved about in strange ways. One time it was like entities jumped in me and were cleaning my aura and this caused all types of popping noises and feelings like being electrocuted and I was having muscle spasms. Afterwards though I swear my muscles felt strong and supple like never before.

Sometimes I get the leg kicks on DMT, usually when I'm listening to music. I think maybe I'm trying to subconsciously dance.

The involuntary twitching is called myoclonus. The precise mechanism isn't known but it's thought to be caused by an imbalance in the levels of serotonin and GABA in the motor pathways of the brain. And since DMT is a serotonin agonist and nitrous oxide affects both serotonin and GABA receptors, it's not difficult to see how this could happen.

If it is constant it's a symptom of Kundalini awakening (or so called such). Research on the topic and find how you can work on it.

Science against mysticism.

Science says it is a "bad" thing, mysticism says the contrary. Who will win?

(For experience I bet on mysticism on this case Pleased But naturally it can also be that science is right here; the only way to be sure is to look at what happens: in the case of the OP it seems to happen when he goes more into trance, so IMO it is more probable it is tied to Kundalini awakening than GABA or elsewhere it would happen either in other cases)

Anyway, to be sure: does it happen to you also when you are "sober" or only during a DMT trip? For example does it continue in "normal life" for some days after (sometimes, sparsely during the day) after that "trip occurrence" in or not?

Yo, i think it can be both. I don't know, everything said in this thread validated my ideas on this. Try flexing your muscles. It might help. A good yoga session to ease the blood flow. And muscle tissue.

I feel very sensitive to the big vein in my neck when dmt'ing. i believe it is an energy blockade and that proper yoga is the solution.

I don't feel different when it happens and my trip doesn't change in any way I only notice it because my girlfriend tells me when its happening, so I don't feel its "mystical" for me at least. It only happens every now and then but never when im sober, and those weren't the strongest trips either. I'm thinking it could be related to diet or certain nutrients that could be lacking, perhaps a change in serotonin levels or perhaps its similar to moving in a dream like someone else said. Im thinking it might be in some cases for me lowered iron or zinc or whatever nitrous depletes.

In my experience, as noted in my previous post, I get twitches and spasms both whilst in a hypnagogic state and whilst working with spice. They both feel very similar to me. Doesn’t feel that mystical to me, I think that while working with spice it can modify the journey though.

that's a self-defeating disclaimer.

and kundalini talk doesn't address the pharmacological issues at hand, i.e. excitatory somatic effects; those are inherent to serotonergic compounds.

fair enough..

if you feel you have something to contribute, please consider staying.
this is a very diverse community, and you will definitely find others who
observe kundalini-related topics.

I am pretty sure that's what I have experienced, as I came out of a GREAT experience with changa, I excitedly began telling my friend what happened and he started telling me his, I could feel my excitement rising and I started convulsing heavily

I'm not familiar with this whole kundalini thing, perhaps it could be elaborated on a bit more instead of just thrown around as a word everyone 'understands'

As far as my experience, benzyme gave the best explanation

I always get these twitches in my legs when i take shrooms at the comeup before the psychedelic effects start.
Somehow its connected to my breathing, my focus and my general state of consciousness.
I got these too the first time on Ayahuasca, but somehow i learned how to change the flow of energy so that they don't manifest.
Felt like an subconscious form of anxiety.
When i calmed myself and let myself go, the twitches stopped immidiatly and started again when i lost focus.
