Hello,

I'm new to this forum (just joined today) and would love it if someone could help me.
I've known about dmt for about 10 months. Read the spirit molecule and almost everything there is to know. I've tripped on LSD but have been longing for the dmt experience. I've been holding back though because of my slightly elevated blood pressure. It varies from 120/75 to 143/79. I'm concerned about this and need some guidance. I've smoked a dmt doob and insufllated it with no adverse effects.

Can someone please let me know what I should do. Exactly how much does dmt raise your blood pressure.

Thank you!

Remember that DMT is already in your body all the time and is metabolized super quick, therefore I can't imagine it being a serious shock to any physical systems (although the same can't be said for your consciousness) ...

But I'll let the real experts on the subject weigh in here Pleased

As with any extreme experience there is the potential for ones blood pressure to rise. I know mine probably goes through the roof sometimes.

But you just need to remember to stay calm. The initial rush of take off quickly fades to a more pleasant feeling. If you find you have troubles keeping calm you could try meditation.

If you find that roller coasters give you problems or chest pains, maybe stay away from DMT?

Dont worry , there are lots of things that can raise your bloodpressure ,
eg
a scary event, being in love ,a bungee jump , excited about things to come , whatever , nothing bad about that .
A constant high bloodpressure is a big risk , but the numbers you are talking about are healthy and a bit above average imho .

So dont worry , relax , hit it , take off

Happy travelsSmile

Most of the blood pressure rising is for the fear, actually.
If you can stay calm and relaxed the blood pressure increase is really marginal even with a breakthrough dose.

DMT is a substance that causes in every case (also in experienced users) some pre-flight anxiety, and this in turn is what increases heart rate and pressure more. I personally don't think that the REAL increase in pressure of DMT by itself is nothing more than the increase you obtain by doing a run or a some jogging.

I many times relaxed deeply just before using DMT and didn't move at all from my position to smoke and didn't find almost any difference in pulse rate, for example. Moreover the increase, even if it's there, it's really of a short duration in itself (naturally if you don't panic, THAT is what can cause trouble) and subside very very fast, and after the pulse actually decreases.

Some people can have adverse effects from tryptamines, those adverse effects can include tachycardia and also a change in blood pressure (among others).

If these things are contraindicated for you then you should not use DMT.

If however it is just a slightly elevated blood pressure then you might want to try a very small dose of DMT first, like vaping only 5mg, and see what it does to you. If you feel it is safe you can take a little bit more. You can keep doing this until you either feel it is not good for you or until you reach the normal DMT dose.

Let us know how it works out for you.

Kind regards,

The Traveler
