Hello! For several months my friend and I have browsed these forums and immersed ourselves in knowledge of this wonderful molecule and we have loved every second of it. We've finally had a successful extraction from ACRB using thick-light's tek and plan to have our first journey tonight. I have been so excited for this day up until this morning. Since then, I have been overwhelmed with nauseating anxiety. I think it might just be fear of the unknown, because my experience with psychedelics is limited. I have only taken synthetic dmt with an maoi twice, and I would describe those trips as mild. I suppose I have come to the boards to ask if this is a sign I am not prepared to experience it's teachings, or if it's normal to feel this way and should continue as planned.

Thank you for reading! Smile

Pre-flight jitters, I call them and they won't really go away. Having anxiety before a journey is a common thing but you will need to over come these feelings or they may dictate your experience.

If you don't feel up to it DON"T do it. DMT is not something to have second thoughts about using, it will still be here for you to try at a later time if you choose.

If you do. I would suggest some calm peaceful music, It will help you from going to far on your first voyage and remind you of who you are.

Remember all you have in hyperspace is what you bring with you. Hope it helps.

Have fun when you've decided.

Big grin hey there monster. I think due to your inexperience with psychedelics, your just a tincy bit extremely nervous Laughing . Don't use spice if you still feel this way, can lead to un-pleasant experience, calm down first. MY advice to you is to meditate before taking it. Meditate until you feel calm. Maybe drink some tea or listen to soothing music. DMT is intense so while your case seems a bit extreme, pre-flight anxiety is normal. Happy travels Wink

This probably isn't the best solution but i have often found that drinking with a friend (or more) will increase the ambition of the group to smoke dmt heavily. We would get just drunk enough, not stupid, where you get that spark in you. Benzodiazopines work well too. Be careful on those though.

I'll speak from personal experience. I had heard about DMT 3 years before I would end up trying it for the first time. I had done much research, and had been completely excited and ambitious to be able to finally try it. When it was finally in my hands, I thought to myself, "do I really want to do this?" I was incredibly nervous. After all that time being so excited, I wasn't really sure what to do cause I was so nervous. Well suffice to say, I loaded up the bong, and had myself the best experience of my life up until that point. I remember remarking that the pleasure felt like what an MDMA peak felt like times ten.

As Sykosis mentioned, it really doesn't necessarily go away. The last time I smoked DMT, my heart was beating a mile a minute, I was sweating, fatigued and a bit queasy...and it went marvelously. It's just something you have to push through. I wouldn't really say it's a very good indicator of how things will go.
