Hi all at the nexus!

I'm Billy Liar. Long time cannabis grower and smoker. I found the nexus by researching extraction methods for canabinoids and Google brought me here after I asked it if co2 could be used as a solvent!

Anyway, I'm in my mid 30's with a young family. My psychedelic adventures began aged 14 with descriptions of acid and mushrooms from the older guys. Laughter and visuals sounded fantastic to me, more in depth stories sounded even better. Sounded so much fun, I couldn't wait to try it. It was the early 90's and acid house was in the news, alternative travelling societies were making headlines, things were happening! I was intrigued!
Then one lunch time at school some kid had some mushrooms for us to try, my best mate and I said yes to them! And ate them on the way home from school.. By the time we were at his house we were having a mild trip! Very mild visuals - breathing surfaces, trails and classic green and purple tinge to everything, but it was the laughter. Oh the laughter. So much fun.. LOL

Next we got the chance to try acid, everything changed in my world as soon as it came on. Why isn't everything always like this? We were small children again, yet with the mind to appreciate that this was the power of the mind, this is more real than what we see day to day. This is fun but this is what I later found out to be - mind at large, and its amazing and pure and true.
That first acid trip started outdoors on the streets and was the most fun I'd ever had. So we walked home through countryside which was so beautiful to look up at trees and be drawn into the geometry of the fields. The acid was strong, and now we were alone away from groups of people in an urban setting, we more in awe at the wonderful effects of this experience. Anymore than a moment staring at any particular geometry or fractal shapes drew us right in. But we had to get home. So we went indoors.....

This was the part of the trip that changed it all. The room we had was covered in wood chip wall paper, a completely random pattern that instantly took us both from our bodies. And could have been hours. We connected on a higher plane!

The first moments, could have been hours, or days, of being indoors were so visually and mentally intense, yet beautiful. We lost the need for language, words, and even laughter stopped. We both had the same initial experience once indoors, the wallpaper took us in, through trees and woodlands then up into the clouds, graffiti clouds, at the time we both thought each of our experiences were solitary, yet amazed when discussing afterwards that our hallucination's were nothing short of identical.
Once we had both become accustomed to the intensity of the the power, we gained a little self control and seemed to be communicating without language, we were best mates and kind of knew each others thought patterns very well.. But this all felt natural and right.. Why can't everything be like this all time....
The rest of the evening was fun and we had control to enjoy and play with the experience. Spending time investigating diffent patterns like wooden table tops, fabric designs, the texture of our own skin, then mirrors.. Hahahaaa. Such a good time..

From there on in acid and mushrooms could not come quick enough. Some times stronger and more intense than the first trip but never the same experience as far as absolute awe, appreciation and respect. Our minds were open and this became our tool to get there and use it for social enhancement with groups of friends or to investigate who we were and who we could be. Personally my mind was more understanding and my life felt just fine, everyday was fun our circle of friends were close on another level, our fun trips and the things we said and did on them filled our daily lives with fun and laughter. Life was great.

Unfortunately my brain was young, still developing. And my acid consumption before I was 18 was quite excessive. Maybe its not done me too many favours. Who knows.

I was never really a dope smoker until I was about 18, dope never really gave me the psycadelic experience I liked unless I ate some strong hashish. But at 18 a few certain smoking sessions with certain strains gave me the full trippy euphoric social experience I wanted. I was a smoker! And I loved it... So I grew it. And studied hydroponics, and built everything my self. Always looking to make an efficient and reliable system. Same as being young even though not smoking much, I'd be the one who made the bongs. Now I was the one who made the hydro system..

Through all my party and raving days I never really got to try DMT, although my mate made some caps once and said there was some in them, there was everything else too.. LOL.

So a lot has happened in life since first trip, and even since last acid trip (Glastonbury 2000). And I'm here, looking to go back and come face to face with myself. What do I want to gain from it? I want to see who I've become since last trip, see what others see, see what I think of what's inside after half my life has passed. Hallucinogens were my tool for this in the past and helped me focus on my character.

I hope DMT will be a nice reintroduction to myself, the short trip should be manageable and will let me decide if I want or need to higher doses and break through. If I feel the appreciation from previous trips I'll like it I'm sure. But I'm really looking forward to the extracting process.. Like I love growing cannabis as much if not more than smoking it.. LOL..

I'll spend the next week or so gathering supplies and drilling the science into my fragmented little mind.. I'll be looking at doing one of the a/b extractions, with acrb. I've also seen mhrb for sale at sites on the net but not sure who's reputable. Trial and error will be the lesson learned.

I've been on canna forums for years and love to do a pictorial grow thread, is it cool to do step by step with picture thread here?

I loved reading your Mr Billy Liar. It provoked a few happy memories for me. I am also a family man. I too was in awe of the experiences that LSD and mushrooms gave me.

Sat in a friends house, in a comfy chair, with a coal fire blazing away, on really strong acid, three of us feeling that some non-tangible aspect of our being was been thrust millions of miles into the universe and gripping the arms of the chair to give a sense of "holding on"; and speaking for myself, feeling this was doing me the world of good (or should that be the universe of good).

The raving in the early nineties. Top, top quality pink dove pills. Being in clubs with 2,000 ravers going full on mental to music that makes the hairs on the hairs on the back of your neck stand to attention.

That said though Billy, and this is a very measured statement from me, hands down, from every experience I have ever had, DMT is the daddy of them all; and were I forced to choose one experience from the many from the past umpteen years of adventures DMT would win hands down.

Thanks for the kind words.. I love remembering first trip.. And all of those days in fact.. Once I start typing I tend not to be able to stop when I love the subject matter. Memory works better once I access certain things, the flow serms to unturn some stones!

Great to find like minded people, I love forums for that. I tend to go around most of everyday life feeling a bit different to most people.. Lol.. I've met some really genuine and nice folks from being on forums.. Its great to hear about your trip too man. Gripping the arms of the chair.. Hahaaha made me chuckle...

Yeah man raving... I remember pink kelly's as well as the doves.. So strong... And also disco biscuits, nearly as big ad your head lol.. Gosh.. First e is another school story.. Lol..

Hey man, thanks for the welcome.. Yeah I read all the FAQ's etc.. But made about 10 edits on the two posts so far.. Lol . I'm used to almost the polar opposite on forums, where we point each other in the direction of reputable suppliers etc, also a big warning gets posted if shady suppliers are out there or anyone has a bad experience.. I'll adapt though..... Not asking for anyone to show me the right places or anything.... I'll work it out.. Worst case I know a guy in Hawaii who could prob get the root bark and send here..

So I've had my 100g of mhrb delivered.

I'll be starting the extraction next week after getting all of the necessaries.

I think I'm going to start with a 25g extraction using cybs atb tek. That seems quite easy and reliable.. And a nice flow chart for me to follow. .

I would start with 50g if you're going to follow that tek..
That way all the ingredient amounts will tally.
It is a good starter amount to work with

I do try and read the tek everyday atm.. Its the science that I really am trying to drill in.. Otherwise its like buying groceries in a supermarket then someone else making your white wine sauce for your mussels without you seeing how the ingredients are combined... There are probably better analogies.. LOL..
