...
I'm not a DMT consumer and I cannot discuss about it as I don't know anything about it. I believe that a couple of texts I've already written on this forum serve the purpose of showing that I'm not a machine or some other negative thing. I write this because I'm supposed to write an 'x' number of posts on this section before I'm allowed to post on another sections of the forum that are of my interest (like cacti or ayahuasca) but am I supposed to 'spam' the forum in order to achieve this? It sounds counterproductive...

Can some mod review my account and 'pretty please, with sugar on top' grant me the permission to post in other areas?

Thanks.

Hi zeric,

I think you've missed the point a bit. Gaining promotion isn't due to you not being a "machine", but someone who has a good attitude and respects the rules of the forum. Be patient and keep to the guidelines of the forum (i.e. no talk about buying or selling) and you'll be promoted before you know it. Also it's not about the number of posts you write either.

An Introduction Essay is supposed to introduce us to you. If you want our votes for becoming a full member here, you should probably do a bit more than complain about how long it is taking. No offense.

I can't speak for others here, but I will be withholding my vote until I see something that makes me think you will be an asset here. I am not voting "no," but IMHO you have yet to earn a "yes."

This is not a typical forum, and we are in no hurry to fill our ranks. You have to understand the vibe of this place and why it is special. There is plenty to do in the Open Areas, and a ton of reading to be done here. I would avail yourself of the resource that is the DMT Nexus, and not be in any rush to get promoted.

We see way too many people in a mad rush to get... somewhere. Extracting entheogens and exploring the cosmos are not activities one should rush into. The idea that you are into ayahuasca but not DMT means you either were rushing when you wrote your intro... or you have no idea what you are talking about. Either way... not a good start here.

I would try again and this time give us some personal info. How long have you been a psychonaut? What substances are you familiar with? What are your interests outside of cacti and ayahuasca?

Slow down amigo, you have only posted a total of 6 times.

But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ Buddha

Hey Zeric Smile my advice to you would be to start a thread on cacti growth in the welcome discussion section
https://www.dmt-nexus.me...t.aspx?g=topics&f=44

I would also recommend some reading on the overall subject of DMT (as others have said) because DMT is the active ingredient in ahuasca, and you seem pretty ignorant to the subject (not meant offensively Smile )

good luck

That's great advice!

Zeric you'll get your promotion when it is felt you have earned it. Take some time to read the Attitude section of the forums. Be patient, I said before someone with your lack of psychedelic experience should tread slowly or find yourself in a situation you're under prepared for.

Don't post just for promotion - It will likely piss off the mods. Post because you have something valuable to add to the discussion.

did'nt you join just 4 days back , you'll be promoted in time and if you have something really urgent to post and are not able to because of these restrictions , just post in the nursery or join the chat

for example if you're in the middle of an extraction and need urgent guidance just come on chat , you'll find help there

We welcome some machines and cylons (Hello Kikker! Pleased)
I believe the intention is to filter out the bad seeded humans.
If you have nothing much to say in the Welcome/FAQ forums... what exactly is the hurry or rush to access posting in the other forum sections? :/ perhaps I am missing something.

There have been users promoted after their first post (I wasn't one of them, BTW- took me a few weeks). It's about quality, not quantity. You can post on any subjects you want to in the welcome area, and as such this allows you to really introduce yourself, show us your strengths. You don't need DMT experience- any interest in psychedelics at all, or even in altered states of any kind (including meditation etc) gives you a valid place here and subject matter that this community will find interesting. Let's hear more about you- all we really know so far is that you are keen on joining the conversation here. That's a great place to start... Now tell us more.

Namaste,

Certainly it is understandable that you feel frustrated over wishing to speak on things that interest you while being limited. But you are not in any way hindered from speaking about them.

From my, admittedly limited in time and nature (see I am still a cute little sproutling too!) time here on the nexus I have noted one thing. That the section forum "First Steps into Hyperspace" located here...

https://www.dmt-nexus.me...t.aspx?g=topics&f=46

...is often used by newer members to talk about things that they otherwise do not have the ability yet to address in a subforum.

Patience is a virtue and cultivation of it will do much. There are many similarities between oral aya use and dmt and many threads on the sections we have access to that pertain to them. There is even an introduction from an Ayahuasquero in this very forum! Perhaps you can pursue your interest in ayahuasca while awaiting the ability to speak in the subforums of your choice.

His intro is here...

https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=33503

Either way, cheers and welcome to the Nexus. May you find what you need always and with absolute love.

Well... I've no words but a big 'thank you' to all you guys for being so comprehensive. I was indeed in a hurry while writing the above. I'm a 30+ years old and father of a child and so I know what it means to be patient but, on the other hand, some days I just lose my patience... My small 'runt' is just because I've a lot to share but in the cacti section, which is, without a doubt my main curiosity and the field where I've spent the last weeks gaining info on and also planting and seeding some T. pachanoi, T. peruvianus and Lophophora williamsi. I'm curious about he entheogenic world for quite some years and a couple of months ago have decided to take the next step and grow my own mesc. experience. I've never tried it nor am I in a rush to do it. If I was on a rush I would just spent some bucks and ingested or extracted the thing. And not wait years to do so. My main goal is to learn. Not just learn about the entheogenic experience but also about the plants themself. How they thrive, what makes them sick or happy, etc. my researches on this field have shown me a world I didn't knew and am happy about it.

Ayahuasca is more of a curiosity of mine... Once I understand my cacti and can 'feel' what they need just by looking at them then I'll deep into the Ayahuasca world as I didn't even knew that DMT is the main ingredient of it... For some reason I'm very curious of this mix, I can't explain why, maybe from readings done in the last years or so, or maybe something inside which tells me that its the right thing but I'm curious.

I'll read the me timed posts and start to post on the sections mentioned.

Thanks again : )
