Hello!

I've wondered across this site several times before in my quest for knowledge.

I'm 20 and attend UW Stout in Wisconsin (USA) Born in Tennessee, lived the past 12 years in Minnesota.

My major is graphic design. I've been making art my whole life.

I'm an A/B student, learning is one of the most enjoyable things i've discovered in life.

I've suffered from depression since i was 13. When i was 17 i tried drugs for the fist time.
This changed everything. I now know life is the most incredible thing. Depressions still comes and goes, but i always know things will get better, they always do.

I've come here to chit-chat about everything, but also talk to like minded people.

I really want to share my psychedelic inspired art, as well as all my dodoles i've done under the influence of drugs.

I've had a really rough time these past months due to a wrist injury i sustained while plating football when i was 14. I broke my drawing wrist and here i am 20 now (21 on the 14th) and on the 19th i'll be having my first surgery. The pain has stayed with me for 6 1/2 years. making my love and passion a very very painful affair.

I thought it would be nice to share some things on here while i wait for surgery.

I'll leave you guys off with a Poem i wrote about my 1st nd only experience with dimethyltryptamine.

I remember!

I remember when.
I was an atheist.

No god is sight, no plan in motion,
Point 2 grams.
Of powdered potion.
Set new thinking
Into motion.

My burning lips and trembling hips!
My twitching eyes and hands held high!
I looked within!
I looked far out!
A blazing net, materialized!
Before me now,
witness through these eyes!
Now here i lay
With
Opened mind.

HOLY SHIT!

A spinning tube, of every hue!
Mostly blue, in me and you!
Single eye, in the sky
Telling us,

Not to trust!
These stupid people!

The truth is simple
Yet here we are
And here we stand
Destroying it
Hand and hand
With stupid shit
And complexity.

I got up
Or tried to stand
You shoved me down
With translucent hands.
Now with
Glowing eyes and mouth op’d wide
You spoke to me
With humility
And with such ancient words!
They sounded absurd.
Like hieroglyphes carved
into a solar eclipse.

There is a god.
More so and all knowing force
Generated from all living matter.

Every soul
Every departed
Left to join
the vast net
that engulfs our universe
and the next.
We are one.

One organism.
Singular.
Infinitely expanding.
Inwards and outwards.
No one solution.
Infinite fractals of endless conclusions.

Love is the only solution
Can’t you see its the only way

Every species.
Has it figured out.

Every other creature
Lives without doubt.

Every other creature
Knows it’s place.

It seems to me
We’re the only ones…

Who cant figure it out.
Who continue to doubt.
Who think we have a higher purpose.
Who think we’re special.

HOLY SHIT!

It came from nowhere!
A shamanic figure!
Within without
no doubt
in my mind
in front behind
left and right.

His potion…

Strong.

His message…

Clear.

With out a doubt
Yelling all about
The sounds so loud
My stomach turned
Nausea now
PUKE IT OUT!

Lying
Dying
Breathing
Striving
Smiling
Thriving

On my feet
Holy shit!

We are one.

All connected
Intertwined

Past,
Present,
Future.

All in one.

Souls never rest.
Passing everything on.
Into the net.

Have you ever tried drawing or painting with your non-dominant hand? You'd be surprised what can be done. It's less precise but loaded down with fewer entrenched habits than your dominant hand. If nothing else you can occasionally give the injured hand a break (I paint detailed areas righty, blurry ones lefty... Do all computer mousing lefty... After a lifetime as an artist my hands are trashed).

Thanks, and yes it is! I have a better "enhanced" and altered version i did in photoshop i hope to post later. I'm secretly/openly admitting to really wanting to get promoted so i can spam/respectively post the years and years if drug induced art into the "art bin"

Sorry it's been a LONG times since i've participated in any sort of forum.

BUT

to quote GUYMECH (which i tried and failed and ended up quoting myself)

i have been! it is really awesome to go all lefty even though it can be VERYY frustrating at time, it's like a completely different world! I can show you guys some off my right handed life drawing 1 work VS my left handed work in that class and WOW, with using my left hand i really resort to using my shoulder which i have a really hard time doing right handed because of doing precision work with my wrist all my life. My teacher has even openly discussed the possibility of teaching the next class/future classes a short day or two just using their non dominant hand to draw with. It's been a humbling experience. But boy would i like my right wrist back. I try using my mac left handed, works 50% of the time but i always get frustrated by the lack of speed. to i switch to my right every time and get punished. but after surgery i'll have no choice so that makes things easier haha, BUT thank you soo much for the support on the surgery! i have looked through MOST of the galleries and BOY am i envious of all y'all! Seeing all this amazing art helps push me to become better. I'm very envious of your work in particular (Guypmech) it happens to be a particular style i really like. I'm kind of wow'd that you responded to my post of all things, and can't wait to talk more on the forums and about art!

Keep posting... Share your psychedelic experiences, maybe talk a bit about how you express them artistically. You'll be promoted before you know it.

To think we know or understand something makes us subconsciously put up barriers in our mind that then narrow our thinking yatta yatta etc etc.

Your work is amazing! I encourage you to share with us as often as you like. I myself am also into art. Drawing,painting and writing. I also relate to you on a more personal level as I also suffered from depression since a child and even up to this day still have the rare battle with it. It is great to see you find positive ways of expressing yourself.
