greetings fellow travelersSmile
ive finally taken the initiative to join the forum, definitely to get some direction, and hopefully to share some insights regarding the relationship with the other side>Ive been working with the teacher plants for some years now, and been tinkering successfully in the kitchen for about a year now.my magisc seems to do the trick to just about everyone it touches, but me!?Sad
quite frustrating, but as my name implies, i am just holding the ring for now, without much knowledge about its power, other than it likes me doing the work im doing...switching on the lights wherever i can.
in this realm it is doing great change for me, and i see its value in my transformation, but sadly dont get to experience much of the other side.
my changa seems potent, and is doing good work for those i share with, but i am a novice in the kitchen...dont really know what to do when the spice dont play ball. i have using mhrb up until now with s2b extraction, but i now have milled root bark, and the s2b method i have seems to be inefficientSad
ive also been brewing tea, mainly with vine(cielo) and chaliponga, although ive been told that the vine holds the dc back...
as my journey stared with the traditional brew made jungle style, i have an affinity to that, and prefer to cook them together, but it seems like its time to start the journey of alchemic exploration...all the fancy terms tho, throw me for a loop...
anyways...enough ramblings for now..i hope to heaR from some experienced and patient pathwalkers soon, and am looking forward to tuning my craft with you guys, both ion method, as well as experience on the rocketshipSmile
love and light

I'd definitely say to switch up your plants and try some analogues, see if a different plant will tale you where you want to go.

Welcome to the nexus frodo Smile

I agree with daytrip's advice about trying different analouges. Rue, mhrb, even different varietys of vine from different sources.

Personally i like to brew up my caapi a semi traditional way using a crock pot and reducing on a stovetop. Rue, i just extract and do a manske tek on it, then dissolve in water/juice to get a much less repulsive liquid than tea.

MHRB, i won't drink tea make from it ever again i think. Its by far the worst thing i've ever tasted, even cactus tea is better than mhrb tea.

Also, check out the various a/b teks in the wiki. I find with mhrb, powdered or shredded, you can get better results if you make a tea from your bark with a bit of vinegar and distilled water, reduce it down to a highly concentrated liquid and filter it well, then add a lye or potassium hydroxide solution.

Pull with whatever solvent you choose, limonene, naphta, heptane, etc. I've always got better yeilds this way than stb teks like 69 ron's or teks where you just dump a bunch of lye, bark, and water in a vessel and pull from there.

If you filter the tea well, you can really emulsify the solvent/water phase, and it seperates cleanly and quickly (at least with limonene ime). Same goes with cactus, you get so much more surface area between the solvent/basic solution, and i think that drastically helps the freebase migrate into the solvent.

As well, its a much smaller scale, when you make a tea from lets say 250g of bark, and reduce it to 400ml or so of filtered tea. Then add 10-20g of lye/koh (potassium hydroxide) to 100ml of distilled water, and add that to your 400ml of tea.

Compared to the stb tels that call for at least 5x more base, and a lot more water, not to mention the bark, its a more effecient use of your supplies, and ime/imho just works better and is easier to do. Sludgy stb soups of bark and highly caustic water, or 69ron type lime teks imho, don't work/extract as well, and are far more wasteful/dangerous since you end up using a ton of base.

Cheers, hope you stick around, and learn from others/have something to teach us in return. Thumbs up

Best wishes on your journeys, and good luck with your extractions. Very happy

In a society in which nearly everybody is dominated by somebody else's mind or by a disembodied mind, it becomes increasingly difficult to learn the truth about the activities of governments and corporations, about the quality or value of products, or about the health of one's own place and economy.
In such a society, also, our private economies will depend less upon the private ownership of real, usable property, and more upon property that is institutional and abstract, beyond individual control, such as money, insurance policies, certificates of deposit, stocks, etc. And as our private economies become more abstract, the mutual, free helps and pleasures of family and community life will be supplanted by a kind of displaced citizenship and by commerce with impersonal and self-interested suppliers...
The great enemy of freedom is the alignment of political power with wealth. This alignment destroys the commonwealth - that is, the natural wealth of localities and the local economies of household, neighborhood, and community - and so destroys democracy, of which the commonwealth is the foundation and practical means.” - Wendell Berry
