I no longer find this to be my path.

Hello GreatBlueChocobo, (love the FF reference Smile )

Welcome to the Nexus! I'm sure you will fit right in. There is such a variety of so many different people here, all ranging in various specialties, both career and otherwise. I have been on the nexus for a while myself, but only recently signed up, to post.

Your story is very intense! I read all of it. I couldn't even begin to imagine how hard it has been for you. I have not had such a hard life. It is quite inspiring how you have made such a turnaround in your situation, despite the horrific mental and (i would imagine) physical scarring you have been through. I truly feel for you.

It is interesting, the whole bit you wrote about being an old soul; someone has told the same thing to me as well. That's an interesting fact about a person, and I feel that I can somehow sense it even through the way that you type. It's quite peculiar, really.
I also admire your passion for gaming, both tabletop and video (FF? Cool )

Just wanted to say hello! I wanted to be one of the many to say hello to you, and thank you for sharing your story! I am so glad that after all of the struggle and hardship, that you are still here, and you didn't give up! That's so powerful of you and you should be proud you have made it this far. DMT may show you even more to life! You will see! I am quite eager to read your first experience! Your story truly was inspiring to me.

I hope that you have a wonderful day, and feel free to send a PM anytime!
-LRx

WELCOME TO THE NEXUS!

I think you'll find alot of people here brought themselves out of unimaginable lows to live worthwhile lives. I did, and everyday gets better.

I also think you might find DMT is just what you need and will catalyze a whole new period of growth and expansion in your life. I wish you luck and look forward to seeing you around on the Nexus.
In the province of the mind what one believes to be true, either is true or becomes true within certain limits. These limits are to be found experimentally and experientially. When so found these limits turn out to be further beliefs to be transcended. In the province of the mind there are no limits. However, in the province of the body there are definite limits not to be transcended.-J.C. Lilly

Thank you, No Knowing.

As far as people coming out of dark places to find this forum, I'm sure that is the case. Most who have been in such situations and come out of them uncrazy (mostly) tend not to fall into religion as they tend to be "down to earth" individuals. Thus such things are not appealing. At least in my discoveries.

Hard things to relive I imagine.
"Many of us who have experienced psychedelics feel very much that they are sacred tools. They open spiritual awareness."
"The elimination of the fear of death transforms the individual's way of being in the world." -Stanislav Grof

"My advice to people today is as follows: if you take the game of life seriously, if you take your nervous system seriously, if you take your sense organs seriously, if you take the energy process seriously, you must turn on, tune in, and drop out."
"Drop Out--detach yourself from the external social drama which is as dehydrated and ersatz as TV. Turn On--find a sacrament which returns you to the temple of God, your own body. Go out of your mind. Get high. Tune In--be reborn. Drop back in to express it. Start a new sequence of behavior that reflects your vision." -Timothy Leary

Thank you, cyb.

Sometimes (most times) reading is hard for me. Especially with small font on a forum, but the only thing I can do is keep at it, right?

You might find the function Ctrl and + to be of great help during reading.

Laughing My Birthday!!!Very happy

July 3rd is my birthday! (I'll be 31) I usually try for three things.

1) Even in my dark times I have a annual thing in which I go down town and personally feed a homeless person. I've made a few acquaintances this way.

2) My personal present is a violin. Nothing grand, just a 50-100$ one off Crag's List or something.

3) But my long term-ish one is to acquire some active mimosa hostilis seeds, germinate them up till they are little trees and Jonny Apple Seed the NW.

YAY FOR BIRTHDAYS!

Go nuts Smile

Sometimes I press the + so many times that a single post covers my whole screen. I can lay back and enjoy the read.

Thank MindIllusion!

No matter what mood I'm in that song brings out the giddy in me. Big grin

I like the guitar ones the most! Especially when a full rock band is involved.

Just wanted to thank you again for the links you posted in my thread. Even though there wasn't a whole lot of new information, they were enjoyable and got me smiling a bit Smile
