...yet can't identify. I smoked DMT for the first time about a month ago after doing a STB on mimosa. I harvested probably 1.5g-2g in all, more than enough for my uses. I still have a good amount left. While I absolutely respect and have enjoyed the smoked DMT experience, ever since the first time I'm always left saying, "There's just something I don't like about that..." Maybe it's the harshness of the smoke (really hasn't been that harsh though honestly, except when I take a ridiculously big hit), or the very taste of it. Of course, once it takes hold that isn't exactly relevant. Maybe it's just the sheer force with which it attacks my body, being completely taken under by its power within 10 seconds. No... I think I like that aspect. But I think, most likely, it's the settings I've had to smoke it in. I've realized I don't have one good place indoors where I could do it, which would be ideal. The circumstances of my living situation prohibit me from doing it inside, and doing it outside the house isn't exactly ideal in the suburbs. Also, it seems that when I do it around people, the experience just isn't the same. It's much less enjoyable. Nothing against the people I've done it around, it's just me and my preference. So I've decided I'm not going to have another session until I can take a day at my family's 500 acre farm (about half forest, half open fields.. fucking beautiful land) and be alone, in the complete peace of nature to take the biggest DMT trip yet. I think that's the best idea I've had yet. I think I like doing it outdoors more anyway. So we'll see if setting is really what has given me negative feelings about my DMT trips thus far. Yeah outside in the city is quite a noisy environment. I've had a similar experience lately. I haven't had real good luck smoking spice since I moved to a new Apt 3 months ago, there is a busy three lane road right outside my living room window & my bedroom window is just around the corner. Its one of the busiest streets in the city, even at 2-3am, there is not a 2 minute period that goes by without a bunch of cars zooming past, right outside my room, at some point. Disturbing as hell!!!Unfortunately, I've also worked as an audio engineer ( I do professional CD mastering & restoration) for the past 14 years and have worked hard to train my ears to not only hear & pay attention to background noise, but to analyze it. To identify its source & fundamental characteristics ( what kind of noise is it, etc..), then find a way to remove it, or reduce it to a point where it is no longer an issue & when I smoke DMT, one of the first effects that I start to notice is my hearing becoming amplified tenfold. After 14+ years, this is something my brain does pretty much automatically, all I do is turn the knobs. Problem is, after my brain has identified & analyzed the noise from the damn street, there are not any knobs to turn!! Anyway, I'm going on... Check out this thread, we were discussing kind of the same issue: "Breaking through with eyes open?"Cheers, WS All posts are fictional short stories depicting the adventures of WSaged!! Earplugs, Warren. Invest in some earplugs. Never actually tried them myself, but I would imagine they would greatly inhance any inner monologues which might occur, and should certainly block out traffic noise.

Disposable foam earplugs - 10 cents Spelunking the inner nebulae free of annoying distractions - Priceless I've been making my living off of my ears for most of my life, I have 100's of packages of every type of earplug known to man and I have tried that already. The irritating traffic noise coming through the walls & windows is mostly low frequency rumble, ear plugs do nothing for frequency's that low, just high & mid range freq's. The lower ranges coming from the traffic and the like, are felt as much as they are heard. To be technical, the physical size of the low frequency sound waves are about 20x the size of the ear plugs & the sound waves pretty much wrap right around, or just go straight through the foam plugs & even the skull. To get rid of this kind of noise pollution issue, there usually needs to be some construction done, air gaps between layers of thick, solid walls. Probably not gonna be happening at my Apartment... Not only that, but I have tried using ear plugs, it feels like I've stuffed my head full of pillows, once the spice starts to creep over me!! Earplugs expand your ears & make a tight fit with a pressure that makes your head feel like its about to burst & shoot pillows all over the room. It was even more distracting than the noise from the street, but thanks for the suggestion. WS All posts are fictional short stories depicting the adventures of WSaged!! I think you will find this the key. Set and setting make a lot of difference. I can't imagine doing it with a group of people unless the people were totally respectful and above all quiet. Swim just started a little over a month ago himself, and had problems iniitally with the intensity of the experience...it felt like just too much of a body load. So, swim has been on an exercise regiment for the past month and it made all the difference. Spice is so nice now, except for today. Today swim was woodworking all day and breathed in too much sawdust. When swim fired off a pipe tonight she immediatly said "What the fuck is that?" ( and she showed me the pain in my lungs.) Then she very gentley declined to take me on the journey ( it was a more of mutual agreement) and she left me wanting for the next visit so much more. I think everything really has to be right for the positive experience. Feeling good physically, being comfortable in a nice surrounding, and feeling no pressure from any outside influences. One cannot take such a powerful experience for granted and must make sure he is reasonably ready for it in all aspects. Peace Sight Seeker Peace

Yeah... out of my ~10 sessions, only two have been by myself. And those two were the most amazing and enjoyable experiences. I've tripped on acid and mushrooms at that farm many times. I'm convinced that I saw something unexplainable in the sky many, many years ago before I ever even considered drugs of any kind. There's definitely some ancient energies churning on that land, as there usually is in areas more peaceful than the city... there's three Indian mounds in one field, one after the other. This is the southeast U.S., so there were certainly many Native American tribes in the area. We've found several arrow heads over the years, too. Certainly some Native American spirit energy looming. Some guy also killed himself on that land a long time ago, but that's not a very cool thought. It happened though. I think it will be glorious. I'm going to push the envelope - I'm going to make the best of it and go for a breakthrough experience. Hemp can save the World.
