My brother's cat's imaginary friend is at it again!
Being the stubborn type, he decided to give the Hippie Salad Tec another go.
But he did things differently. Although starting with the same 50g of MHRB, he first did the vinegar step as in the q21q21 tek.
After basing, it was split into two different mason jars and 4 one-hour heated sunflower oil pulls were performed.
The oil was collected, filtered, cleaned up with carb. and salted with the defat step was skipped. (last time not much came out of it, perhaps it should have been done more on that later)
Evap, addition of carb. and filtration of 99% IPA were performed.
After 4 days of evaporation, he was left with a very orange fatty liquid, this was transferred to a flatter plate and placed in front of a fan for more drying. What is remaining in the bowl will be dried and collected, possibly cleaned up with IPA.
The yield seems much more than before, so he seems happy. Hopefully all this orange-ish goo
is good, as it smells of an old leather shoe
