Has anyone ever felt as if they were receiving information from the future during a breakthrough? Such as distasteful events that will happen to you and how to better them/avoid them?

Could it be simply your own fears manifesting into visions? Or not? I say fears because the event that unfolded before me during the experience was something I fear/want to avoid. It reeked of truth and authenticity to point that I couldn't not believe it until I was back and began contemplating on how tricky the mind can be.

I understand we can't truly know, but has anyone experience this?

Precognitive dreams are much more common IME than with psychedelics

I've experienced it with psychedelics but i can't recall it happening while fully breaking through on smoked dmt. Although one time on dmt an entity allowed me to see through the wall and showed me a vision of how my brothers bus would be pulling in any second ^_^

Earlier today i smoked some changa, and looking into the mirror saw what i interpreted as myself, but as an old man. Vision of a possible future? Mind playing games? who knows? I had an accurate vision years ago that depicted where i would be a year from then, which was very accurate. From what i can recall off the top of my head, its only been positive or neutral things that were foreshadowed during psychedelic experiences.

Its a really tricky thing, and not worth putting too much weight/belief/worry into IMO...because there is always fears, desires, etc, that can manifest as visions which will in reality never come to pass

But thats not to say you can't learn from those experiences

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

I had a weird one where it was suggested that there was some kind of
Genetic twin of myself somewhere either on earth or
In another dimension or planet . This was something
Existing in real time . Super crazy one

An interesting topic.

I can't say I've ever had any vision of the future come true... but I can remember one very unpleasant one during a mushroom trip that I was certain was about to happen. fortunately it never did and hopefully it never will. I remember the relief I felt after I realized that it wasn't going to happen. I felt like I had gotten a second chance.

I have had some similar experiences to what universecanon mentioned.. seeing my wife and I age before my eyes.. dunno if it's actually how well look when older or not. but eh, it wasn't so bad, if we look like what I saw when we're 80, I'd say we did pretty good.

my wife saw a meteor with her eyes closed... the meteor was real (i wasn't tripping, but she had just blasted off) and one of the brightest, longest lasting I had ever seen. it started behind her and arced over us before vanishing near the horizon in front of her. she 'saw' it and then opened her eyes just before it vanished in the distance. she gasped with the rest of us and knew right where it started.

I have never had an experience like this due to psychs, but I have had many dreams that end up coming true.

They are always very little things, like me and my friends sitting in an exact location talking about a very specific topic. A week later we are all together, sitting in that very same location, talking of that very same specific topic. We all pretty much had the conversation that was right out of my dream! Word for word.

The funny thing is, I never remember my dreams unless it is something along these lines that ends up coming true. I hope this can aid me down the line in life and show me something important eventually, other then just specific conversations and what not.
Everything published by Gone-and-Back are the mad rantings and ravings of a mind who yearns to be free and thinks he knows what he is talking about. However, these are just delusions made to feel that freedom, because that freedom will never come. Any experiments done are purely figments of the imagination, and are falsified to the highest degree. Nothing should be taken seriously from a crazy mans mind.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I only saw this now

About a year ago I had a vision of my body sprawled out on the beach coughing up water, while my body was sputtering smoke in this parallel dimension

I opened my eyes and saw critters in the roof, closed my eyes again and was engulfed in swampy waters

I floated towards a sliver of white in the murky shadows, and noticed it was my car upside down, windows smashed out

I swam toward it and when I looked in the window I saw swirls of black in the darkness, followed by long charred-looking spindly arms and flowing red hair like flames coming out to greet me (oh joy)

I opened my eyes and it was mostly over

I always wondered if it had a meaning, would I crash my car into a lake? Lol

Fast forward a year approx, and I fell asleep in my car, enjoying the heater in winter with my door unlocked at 2am like a dumbass

After about an hour I got a spooky feeling like I need to get inside the house

Next morning the car is gone

Now the car was found the next day, but it was completely burnt out

So for me, and this might seem far fetched, the symbolism is interpreted as:

Windows smashed out - when found the car had no windows

Submerged upside down - it had a massive dent in the roof as if it was upside down

Flowing red hair and charred skin - the car was set alight

Submerged underwater - obviously the car was doused in water to put it out

Anorexic ly thin entities - representing the drug fueled thieves that stole it (guaranteed meth abusers if you know my area, 99% sure)

It might sound crazy, but to me its totally eerie

As for dreams... That's a whole other ball game

Wow.

Personally, on DMT the concept of future and past are too alien to comprehend.

I'm constantly having these experiences with Salvia. It's gone way beyond eerie or creepy into the realm of real, measurable phenomenon.

I've had coworkers laugh and call me nuts when I tell them about dreams I have or the daily deja vus. One guy I worked with about a year ago got very interested and asked if there was some way that I could prove that what I was experiencing was real. So I did.

This guy, let's call him Garret, started working with me in a restaurant kitchen. He was a young guy, about eight years younger than myself. I was his boss and trainer, and I showed him a lot of things I learned in culinary school, on my own just cooking as a hobby, and the ability to feel "the pulse" of the kitchen (that's what I call it, the general flow and timing of a busy restaurant kitchen). Some people have it naturally, others work at it and learn, and still others work hard at it and never truly "get it". This kid was built for a line. Physically, personality, just a great guy to have in there with you during a Friday dinner rush.

So after several months of working together almost everyday, we began talking more and more. He told me about psychic phenomenon he had experienced while on mushrooms. His mother had done tarot card readings and palm readings out of their house when he was a young kid Smile So the conversations started shifting into strange territory to point where other coworkers would catch snippets of things said back and forth between us and would get faces like this: Wut? Shocked Surprised Rolling eyes

One Monday lunch it was just Garret and I in the kitchen and the head Chef came on line to help through the rush and make some food for himself. We went about our conversation as we normally would, neither of us cared whether other people thought we were crazy. We were discussing shapeshifting reptilioids and illuminati stuff and my boss turns to me and says, "You guys really need to get laid or something. You sound like a couple of nutjobs." We laughed and changed the subject. The rush ended and the Chef made some jambalaya (it was outstanding, that dish) and took off to eat and finish up for the day.

So recently Garret and I had been talking about my dreams and my seemingly real ability to predict future events at random. He said he had come up with a way so that I could prove it to him. I agreed. His test was to get me to predict what the Chef would make for lunch tomorrow, as he is not the type to eat the same thing every day. I don't think I saw him have the same thing two days in a row except for once when I made this huge pot of bouillabaisse and he loved it. I figured it was a good test and that hopefully I could get some information in my dream that night or even in the morning or on the way to work. I didn't feel like I had to prove anything, but I wanted to Smile It was just something fun, something interesting.

I went home that night and went about my usual routine (meditation, some yoga poses, a hit or two of Salvia leaf). As soon as I took the hit I heard ducks quacking and the sound of water splashing. Then the visuals rushed in with these yellow and shiny green tones (like the head of a mallard) I felt intense heat as well, which is normal for me after hitting Salvia, but it seemed more intense than usual. Almost like being burned, very uncomfortable. The trip wound down and faded in its normal fashion. I thought, well, there's no way he's having duck. First of all, he doesn't even like duck. Second, we don't serve it at the restaurant, it's not on the menu at any time of year. I though maybe something Indian? Spicy? Chili peppers maybe, because of the intense heat I felt. They were just guesses at best, so I just shrugged it off and hoped maybe I would have a dream about it.

I got into bed, my kitty laying on my pillow. I stayed awake a little later than I normally do reading a book. The conversations Garret and I had that day kept playing over in my mind. I held onto the thought of a big chalk board that you would have outside like a cafe or small restaurant that you would write the daily lunch specials on it. I would write "Todays lunch special..." on the board over and with my mind. I drifted off to sleep after a while and slept through the night.

I awoke and got up, realizing I hadn't had any dreams. That is something of a rarity for me. I am an accomplished lucid dreamer and become lucid almost every night. My dreams are always very vivid and involved, and my recall has become very sharp. It was sort of confusing to me. Like I wasn't being given any information purposely. The universe telling me, "You're on your own on this one." In the shower I kept thinking, "it's gotta be something spicy like a curry or maybe chile rellenos or something." I was literally wracking my brain trying to come up with some connection between the visions and Chef's lunch.

I don't drive, so on the way to work (public transportation) I usually just read my book or listen to music. I couldn't focus on my book (even though it was very good and I couldn't put it down the night before) and I found my mp3 player battery dead, having forgot to charge it. Oh well I thought, and stared out the window.

About two blocks from where I get on the bus, a mother and her little daughter get on. I don't think I've seen them before, but like I said I usually keep my head down and read or listen to music and ignore everything around me. The mother is very pretty, wearing a sort of sun dress, dark brown hair. Her daughter looks like her mother. She comes running down the isle as the mother is paying at the front of the bus. The driver (him I do know, he's notorious for driving too fast) closes the doors right behind her and starts driving before she's even got her hand out of her purse. The daughter loses her balance and comes clear off the ground just as she's passing me. Luckily I have good reflexes because I catch her just before she does a face plant in the isle. The mother thanks me profusely, curses the driver, and they sit in front of me.

My racing heart slows down to its normal rhythm, and I continue to stare out the window. I listen to the mother and daughter talk absent mindedly. The little girl keeps figgeting and her mother keeps telling her to sit still. Eventually it draws my attention and I take a closer look at the pair.

The mother has a yellow hair clip. Her dress is a dark green. The little girl, I shit you not, has a ducky on her little t-shirt. That awesome wave of deja vu washes over me, so familiar. Now normally this is when I realize "this was in my dream". but I can't recall any dreams from last night at all. I start listening to them talk intently. The daughter keeps saying she wants to go to her Nana's house. The mother says no, they have to go meet her friend at a restaurant. The daughter says no, the food is too spicy. My ears perk up like a dog about to get a treat. They argue back and forth, the little girl very upset now that she cannot see her Nana today and that the restaurant serves nothing but hellfire.

They get off at the terminal and don't get on the next bus I take to work. For a minute I was almost certain the restaurant the little girl hated so much was the one I currently worked at Smile I tried to read my book again, still couldn't focus. I read the same paragraph over several times and then gave up. My mind was preoccupied with the whole mother and daughter scene, that I had no dream recall whatsoever, and that I still wasn't sure what the hell Chef was going to have for lunch.

I get to work and start the line up, say hi to everyone. Garret shows up ten minutes late. Chef shows up just before lunch and that's when Garret says, "So what's on the menu for today sir?" smiling at me. Smile I tell him that I couldn't remember my dreams and that the only thing I could come up with was either duck a l'orange or some sort of spicy thai curry. He says something like "Aaawww, that's bullshit, I knew you were full of it" Very happy I laugh and say, okay, it's definitely duck a l'orange, and he's having a port wine with it. Garret saya, "doesn't he hate duck?" And I reply, "Yeah, he can't stand it, but that's what he's having."

Lunch rush goes by as usual. We rock it. Something like 40 tables. Chef says he's starving. Garret looks sidelong at me, smirking. I ask, "What'll it be today Chef?" He says, "I want some thai curry so bad, but I brought a lunch from home today." I say, "Oh really? What is it?" to which he replies, "Left overs from last night. Duck a l'orange."

Garret loses his mind right on the spot Very happy He's laughing and yelling, "No f***ing way, no f***ing way!" Then he asks Chef, "You guys were in on it together, I know it. You don't even like duck!" Chef has no idea what he's talking about, and I fill him in. He says, "You're right though, I don't normally eat duck. My 88 year old Nana came to visit and made it special and I actually enjoyed it." I suggest, "A nice port to accompany that?" And then it's Chef's turn to get freaked out Very happy He laughs and says something like, "You oughtta get a crystal ball and start charging."

It seems I'm somewhat limited to rather inane or unimportant things in what I can predict. If it's something directly related to me or my life it comes through stronger and I can predict more important things. But for others, I'm usually limited to parlor tricks Very happy

After that it was fun for Garret to give me things to try to predict. Like what, if anything, we might be missing on a food order. Or if someone was going to be late or call in that day. I kept getting them right until I predicted that his girlfriend was going to break up with him and he was going to lose his new cell phone he had juts purchased days earlier. I think when I predicted that one it was too close to home for him. Chef's lunch or the dishwasher showing up an hour late was one thing. Something that personal rattled him a bit, and he stopped asking me to predict. I did a couple little ones for him without being asked, and he seemed uninterested. Funny how squeamish some people get when it seems like you know exactly what's going to happen in their future Very happy

Just last week during a sub breakthrough DMT experience I got some insight into one of my dogs health. It showed me that there was some growth near her reproductive system. I took her to the vet and she's scheduled to have her ovaries removed because the vet wasn't sure if the tumor could become cancerous and spread. The tumor is still very small, and he says I'm lucky I brought her in and got it looked after so soon. I thank the elves and whatever sort of consciousness we tap into when we take this molecule into our bodies. I know my puppy will be happy and live many more years, and I'm very thankful for it Big grin

Really digged that part about the duck quacks Very happy

Way to tune in! Very cool

After my last voyage with san pedro I'm convinced we all have psychic potential

And we all hold infinite knowledge, its just a matter of opening up these portals to see it

Its all very confusing

Infinite I, my mom went to visit a psychic once as well, never told this woman a thing about me, but she told my mom I have the ability to enter other dimensions and gave her a book to give to me, on shamanism

Pretty weird Pleased

Yes.

In 2008, a few minutes after coming back from hyperspace and I had a full on precognitive vision, with sound, color and scent. It was a short pre-cog, in that it manifested as reality about 2 minutes after happening. Same thing happened again about 8 hours later. Both times it was overwhelming--ever watch the tv show Angel, the Buffy the vampure slayer spin-off? It was just like when Cordy had her visions--nearly knocked me over. No headache though.

I'll describe the second vision. Walking down the hall I had a terrible vision of a gigantic, towering insectoid beast. Rounding the corner and there it was! The biggest thousand-legger i ever done seen, quivering, spotted, many legged, huge feeler--just like in my vision. Huge, for a real life thousand legger, but really only about 2 or 3 inches long. Fine, here's the first one: on my way to the dumpster (one I had never visited before) I had a vision of exactly what it would look like, the blue t-shit just laying on the ground, the half-eaten pizza, the stench, every detail, seen in vision, about one minute before seeing it in person.

"Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods." Albert Einstein

I appreciate your perspective.

..yes and no..i personally think DMT gives possible or probable futures or directions (if one's ego is intact enough to focus) ..however the choice is one's own..
i've been shown possible options by (plant)dmt, and when i've not taken the option regretted it..and the otherway round (to positive benefit)

on the other hand, Salvia divinorum really bugs me as it's been spookily accurate..but also creepily pushy..
that's partly why i don't go there often (not to mention the utter alieness..dmt is warm and cuddly in comparison to me) ..but, it was called the Diviner's Sage..

many 'psychics' say, however, that the future is not set..there are more probable ones..
this is in line with my notion of 'futures' by dmt observation..

Thanks to Dioxippus for sharing, that was a very good read (although it made me really hungry).

I resonate with nen here. Entheogens and a linear concept of time simply don't go together... tryptamines open your reception to The Field, where you can feel echoes of many things, things already gone and things that might come from our tunnel perspective.

I've had days full of synchronicities after smoking dmt, particularly when thinking about certain topics, for some reason. After my second changa session, I started reading Whitley Strieber's "Communion". And for a few days, random facts or memories jumped into my mind, minutes or seconds before I read a paragraph that unpredictably mentioned that precise thing. As an example, imagine you're sitting in a terrace reading and having coffee, a woman walks by wearing a summer dress. That immediately brings to your mind a quote by Arthur Koestler describing his relationship with women. You hadn't thought about Arthur Koestler in years, and after you flip the page there he is - brought up by Strieber without previous hints or warnings. I found this type of happening very common, but I wouldn't call it a vision of future. Not the way Dioxippus describes it.

But Salvia... Salvia takes you to places. Beams you up to wherever she pleases, and that's precisely the feeling - that Salvia has will, and can pick you up and drop you in another point of the tapestry as if she knew you are walking that way.

I often feel like sharing reports and stories but feel reluctant. I've had mixed reactions from people when talking about these experiences, but obviously this is the right place to share something like this. Still, thank you to everyone who took the time to read my story and experienced some enjoyment from it.

I was getting hungry as I was writing it too Laughing I had to stop and go grab breakfast midway through. I also bought some yummy organic duck breasts on the way home today. Smile

See, that's exactly why I like it! Smile For all the reasons you mentioned. I am really beginning to love DMT and changa, but Salvia is something that will always be very special to me. I have a very powerful connection with this plant. I can completely understand why people wouldn't want to use it very often, for the same reasons I love it so much.

Each to their own, after all Smile

Dioxippus, very cool.

A long time ago, as a teenager I was going to spiritual development classes, and we were taught in giving readings to give what we get and to not try to do any of our own interpretation on it.

Sounds like you have that part figured out and it works well for you.
