I dunno..I would say leave the toad alone. It's prob got it bad enough already being locked inside of a tiny little glass prison. Grow some plants. Plants just need the rootspace and water, light etc..and thats easy to give them. Plants dont naturally hop around etc and cover a large distance like a toad would. Long live the unwoke.

I'd suggest letting it go in its natural habitat. + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- DMT Nexus Research ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- +

Perhaps next level is not the appropriate nomenclature. From my understanding 5meo is somewhat more intense. James Orock portrays a difference between the two that he seems worth mentioning in his book and in his podcasts. I have had the most important breakthrough ever in my life with mimosa and continue to work with it diligently however since I have a toad in my house I'm interested in this medicine as well. Im open to any input available and since the toad was given to me and raised in captivity I don't think releasing it is an option. He lives a great life and I want to experience this power.

everyone stop hating what plants constanyly have 5MEO it has been discussed the toad is the way o go.
@Lotusmind dont free your toad unless you want to im sure you teet it good right? u should however get iy a partner. honestly i dont know much about 5MEO i tried it once off the RC wave many years ago it felt sinister well it felt harxh DMT was much more gwentle and visual. however it has been discussed on the nezus over and over that theer is not really that much of a reliable consistent 5MEO containing plant and u really just have to brake down and go the way of the toad. i think YOPO is a good 5MEO plant but extractions for pure 5MEO are sadly currently not to great. peace my friend

Quote:Phalaris arundinacea 'Turkey Red' Plant:From the Entheogen Review Vol. XI 2002:- My old, "Turkey red," was selected to produce 5-MeO-DMT because this is the alkaloid that I personally prefer for my own work and the work I do with groups around the country. I feel 5-MeO-DMT most closely mimics the natural enlightenment state of a fully functioning pineal-gland. It does not distract one with visuals, but open one's energy field and dissolves the energetic barriers between people. By taking about 75mg of the "Turkey red" extract - equivalent to about 7.5mg of 5-MeO-DMT - potentiated with a RIMA such as Syrian Rue, one can experience much healing, and in the right group, a unification of consciousness within the group. I believe this medicine has a role to play in the next stage of evolution, which must involve some form of group consciousness. There are about five other alkaloids in Turkey red aswell. I do not know what most of them are. I have tried to experiment of separating out just the 5-MeO-DMT and taking that orally with a MAOI, and I do get and effect, comparable to that of chemically produced pharmahuasca from synthesised 5-MeO-DMT. However, It does not have the magical shamanic effect I like to use for my group use. I have about a thousand TLC plates of my tests, each with its own unique and different alkaloid mixture. This could keep graduate students busy for years elucidating the unique healing properties of these mixtures And from the WIKI: 5-meo Containing PlantsMaybe grow some "Turkey red" in the terrarium with the toad? + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- DMT Nexus Research ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- +

Jeez people, people just love to come in on a high horse and abuse people thats like 90% of the posts here anymore, some OP comes in with an idea or a statment and then 10 people just bellitle him! Seriously hop from thread to thread and observe this pattern... it is time to humble ourselves. If you disagree with him having a toad, let him know politely, but not everyone is required to share your beliefs, and he believs his toad lives a nice life, and its pretty much impossible to prove otherwise.... Also in my opinion it is a natural thing... rainforest tribes using the toad have no qualms with catching the toads and milking them.. They live out there that is their reality, its easy to cast judgment, but one shoiuld be tolerant of other culutres beliefs and customs. It is certainly no worse than the way animals are treated here in the US or other major western countries. If one kept a toad and tortured it miling it every day or weekly i would think that to be cruel, but if you have a toad and are interested in trying its medicine and milking it infrequently and doing no harm to it, i see absolutely nothing wrong with it, but that is just my opinion. That is all.
End of Thread. That is my qualm... OP asked for advice, but didnt get any real practical advice on the subject he was exploring, rather the thread broke down to another clash of beliefs and led to know positive information or progress. just reporting on what i see as a trend i could be right or wrong, either way no hard feelings just trying to improve our conversations You have never been apart from me. I would suggest starting it low. Even though you are used to nn, 5meo can be scary in some ways. Also, the dosage can differ from nn, and also from person to person. Also, if the method is new to you I'd suggest reading as much as possible about it. For the first time please have someone administer you through it if anything would go wrong. Safe travels my friend

Animal-rights issues aside, I would shy away from toads anyway. I don't know if you could humanely get enough venom out of the poor guy to extract pure 5-Meo-DMT, and just straight up licking the toad is supposed to be wildly unpleasant. A common theme I've read in toad reports is that of somehow becoming a toad and being desperate for a watery habitat (that may be spiritual evidence that the toads wants freedom, but that's a different topic). The reports have very little similarity to the 5-Meo-DMT reports I've read. I would play it safe and follow the links that you were given about the Turkey Red strains of Phalaris grass. Chaliponga also purportedly has 5-Meo-DMT in it, if you feel like adding it as an admixture to Ayahuasca. TLDR: Toad venom =/= 5-Meo-DMT. Toad Venom = 5-Meo-DMT + Lots of other nasties + toad karma. Read some of the Erowid experience reports. Also, not to be a hopeless pedant, you might get more helpful answers if you used correct grammar, punctuation, spelling etc. Not that you have to, you can type however you want, but it's much easier to engage in informed, respectful discussion if you can 1) read what the other person is saying and 2) feel like they're putting some effort and respect into the discussion as well. That's how we try and do things here Peace and love ~ND "There are many paths up the same mountain."
