Question- How is composted pine bark made?

Can I just strip the bark off a pine tree, grind it up, moisten it to help it decompose a little, then put it in the sun to dry and get useable pine bark compost?

I did a search on Google and found this for you.

I searched under "how to make pine bark mulch" which is essentially what you're looking for.

Hope this helps! Smile

No need to strip a tree though... pine forests usually have plenty on the ground, and if you know anyone who chops firewood, they'll have a boatload out by the woodshed.
