This is one of those stories that just makes you go: "derp." A 16-year-old in Williamsburg, VA was charged with bring DMT and Xanax to his school, where he intended to give the drugs to a classmate. Of course, he was busted. http://wydaily.com/2013/...-hallucinogen-to-school/Quote:A 16-year-old Jamestown High student is charged with bringing two drugs to school, including a hallucinogen, and giving it to a classmate, according to James City County Police.
On April 24, officers were dispatched to Jamestown High regarding two students suspected to be under the influence of drugs, said police spokesperson Maj. Steve Rubino. After questioning the students, officers seized suspected narcotics from a 16-year-old male student. The drugs were sent to a state lab for testing, the results of which showed the student was in possession of powdered dimethyltryptamine, a Schedule I narcotic, and one tablet and two pieces of Alprazolam, a Schedule IV narcotic thatβs sold under the trade name Xanax and used to treat anxiety disorders.
The student told police he brought the drug to school and provided his classmate with the drug, Rubino said.
Dimethyltryptamine is a hallucinogenic drug also known as DMT.
The student has been charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance on school property with the intent to distribute, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance on school property with the intent to distribute, and one count of possession for each of the narcotics. Not much of note reporting-wise, only that DMT continues to be a 'narcotic,' and of course, I still cannot get over the almost transcendent stupidity of this particular teenager. If he was in his 20s i"d be more inclined to agree that his stupidity was transcendent. But 16??? In fact i wouldn"t even say he was that stupid. Just young, with the average quota of stupidity for people of that age.

I agree with a1pha here its good the boy is a minor but it will still effect him in life. I won't call him stupid just young and ill informed. I did way stupider things at 16 the only difference is I didn't get caught. Its a shame to boy admitted to distribution as that's a very serious crime in a school yard makes in that much worse. The real sad part is this boy now entering the penal system. A system that has proven to only make matters worse and can drastically put a young man on a very bad path. Once labeled a criminal kids tend to adopt this title and live up to its reputation. WE don't know this boys background so I would encourage us to be adults and refrain from flaming the boy for doing what the majority of us probably have done at that age but didn't get caught. We do not know his family life, if this young man was ever shown love or even given a sense of self worth. When you feel like a piece of shit you tend to make bad choices. Its very sad. I hope the Judge does the right thing and offers him help opposed to punishment. Good people sometimes do bad things and if my trial turned out differently 25 years ago I would be writing this from a cell still. Everyone deserves at bare min a second chance. I hope the boy is given that much and hope he learns from it. Very sad. I am not gonna lie, shits gonna get weird!Troubles Breaking Through? Click here. The Art of Changa. making the perfect blend.

At 16 I was in similar levels of deep doo-doo with the law. I was fortunate that on my third trip through the court system the judge pulled me aside and said something to the effect of, "Son, I see a lot of losers coming through this room. I know you're not one of them, so what the hell are you doing here?" For whatever reason that worked and I started to take the situation a lot more seriously. We can only hope that this kid's introduction to the juvenile court system is a positive one, as it can go either way. With luck he'll end up with court supervision, and without another offense this may not end up on his permanent public record. So there's hope.
But DMT in school? I really don't get it.

IF it's his first offense and since he's a minor, hopefully he'll probably plead down to a lesser charge if he is lucky, and maybe do a year or two of probation. As long as he keeps his nose clean (both figuratively and literally), he should be able to bounce back from this pretty easy and will have learned a very important life lesson about discretion. Poor kid. Experience is a harsh teacher. "We speak of Time and Mind, which do not easily yield to catagories. We separate past and future and find that Time is an amalgam of both. I mean, to us it is more than just a substance but to the government it is a narcotic... That's because of the ignorance in Gvt positions not knowing the difference between a narcotic and a hallucinogen/deleriant ext. They use the word narcotic in correctly all the time as if its a one size fits all definition of any banned substance. Hard to believe that the powers that be are this ignorant?... not really. benzyme wrote:wtf, DMT is NOT a narcotic. LMAO Benzyme love your comment on the actual news article. Understand: Nature knows no EVIL, Nature knows no GOOD, people know these things, because we perceive these things, with the gift of senses given to us at birth. A good or bad experience is simply a bridge to a another existential time frame, so always live in the moment and make every one a positive moment!
Any and all posts or interactions are to be held as my fictional writings/short stories or dreams. I may even have some delirium setting in, I've never been tested for it. The only exception to this is the statement about nature above, I feel this is a fact!
