Hi, after my few psychedelic experiences with mushrooms, I have noticed that in certain situations I can see some trippy visuals without taking anything, for example: >waking up in middle of the night for a wee and while in a dark, between sleep and wakefulness I trip quite a bit >meditation. >while slowly falling asleep. >darkness and some types of music, especially if I'm physically tired and it got clearer, more colorful after trying spice. and I am not talking about "stuff" that I just see behind closed eyelids. I'm talking about psychedelic patterns, morphing objects, vivid, although strangely grey-filtered down colors, strange tunnels, spaces, voids etc. And I cannot back it up why, but I have a feeling that it was always there and psychedelic experience kind of showed me where and how to look to see it.
I am sure a lot of people experience the same thing, so please share your experience, maybe some more interesting interviews/experiments/threads about it that I'm not aware of?

Theres been quite a bit of talk about this on the forum, and from what i've noticed on the web and in real life it seems to be much more commonly experienced than a lot of people think. Myself and many others here have experienced all those things, although peoples experiences and opinions on it can obviously differ greatly

yeah you are just beginning to see into the other dimensions..when it happens in the middle of the night you can pass through the grid and go into the "astral" and visit cities inside of the earth and stuff..for me anyway. I dunno if that will work for you. Long live the unwoke.

defiantly have experienced this before. Tried to explain these things to a friend who has never done a psychedelic drug in there life and I looked crazy. A single truth in a world of lies

I experience this everyday and more so at the boundary of sleep and waking. Actively seek it out whenever you can, it gets quite vivid. I have found that digital art and especially mandalas, will trigger an episode. Not in a sort of static 'after image' way...but a full on complex and animated image explosion. Something about the linear, precise nature of computer imagery acts as a switch for the CEVs. I agree that its something that is always there and gets filtered and lost in the background of everyday sensory stimulus. I wonder if it the same mechanism that DMT acts on and is amplified hugely by the flood of molecule. Interestingly most of the higher class imagery radiates from the central space in a six sided form...hexagonal streaming from a vanishing point rushing forwards. Life is never dull when you have your own internal light show. Please do not PM tek related questions Reserve the right to change your mind at any given moment.

I believe this is akin to buying a new car. You rarely notice the type of car before you buy it; then it appears that every man and his dog has got one. I also believe; like other people here, that each experience gives you a greater mental vocabulary. Thus allowing you to understand and recognize the things you have always seen but not been able to mentally comprehend. "there's none so blind as those who will not see" and when the world stops you will find me there waiting to embrace you

this is important point as well, I've noticed it myself. looks like some kind of geometry is built in these visions. I am very, very fascinated by it. and furthermore, I've been following one scientist for some time, and he is talking about it as well. I've been shocked when I saw this lecture, I hope you guys will find it useful as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zc0ICPoqlMThere are more lectures where he talks about it. well, maybe there is something in it? otherwise why majority of people, if not everyone, experience this geometry?

You might consider that the "higher class imagery" would radiate from the center on the notion that it is naturally where you place the bulk of your attention (the center of your vision). I think this is important because IME the energy that is correlated with these visual patterns is linked to focus/attention/awareness so that if I concentrate on a particular part of my visual field, the energy flows to that particular locus and around it crowds the patterning. This phenomenon can be particularly easy to observe in the full throws of hyperspace where concentrating on certain areas seem to make them flourish with detail. I would therefore predict that this is the reason for which your higher class imagery tends to radiates from the central space. If you were to consciously shift your focus to the left side of your visual field for an extended period of time, you may find more detailed imagery coming from there for example, but this would typically take an intentional extended focus while focusing on the center is more natural. I always see psychedelic 'static' myself as i have minor but permanent HHPD, i find that even before i was diagnosed however that when i would listen to music i would see things in my head 'like a music video' and color with my eyes open, thats called synesthesia "One Small Step For Man, One Giant Leap For Mankind" Neil Armstrong "The Only Thing We Have To Fear, Is Fear Itself" FDR "Walk through the forests that artists erase, as we try to love the lines perfectionists chase, they try to tell me that you dont exist, but i believe in you my little cyst"

I also remember before I had done psychedelics that when I would get panic attacks i would have severe hallucinations ranging from full strip like LSD visuals to real life bending and expanding, I would also have troubble looking at white spaces as they have always been littered with twisting patterns, I have always seen these things though since before psychedelics, i think the psychedelics just give us a name and a face for a frame of reference "One Small Step For Man, One Giant Leap For Mankind" Neil Armstrong "The Only Thing We Have To Fear, Is Fear Itself" FDR "Walk through the forests that artists erase, as we try to love the lines perfectionists chase, they try to tell me that you dont exist, but i believe in you my little cyst"

My most potent sober CEVs have always happened at the threshold of sleep and waking, very tryptamine-like in some cases. This had made it easy for me to believe that we produce the stuff in our brains.
Salvador Dali used to take micro-short naps in an armchair. He'd drape his arm over the arm of the chair while holding a heavy key between his thumb and fingertip. Upon snoozing, he would drop the key and awaken immediately. Alternately, he'd hold a spoon over a dish and the clank would wake him. These micro naps were the source of much of his visual inspiration.

Well here is one way to do it. If you actually follow the instructions on this video you will in fact experience open eye visuals. You have to do the entire exercise. Technically you don't, but the first time through just follow the instructions all the way. http://www.youtube.com/w...ytM&feature=youtu.beIf your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

I LOVE DALI! he inspired me to restart doing my art, thanks for the amazing insight into this wonderful artist sorry that i cant contribute more at this time, wayyyyyy to out in hyperspace "One Small Step For Man, One Giant Leap For Mankind" Neil Armstrong "The Only Thing We Have To Fear, Is Fear Itself" FDR "Walk through the forests that artists erase, as we try to love the lines perfectionists chase, they try to tell me that you dont exist, but i believe in you my little cyst"

Great info G...I'm gonna try that. My most potent cevs are definitely after a rare afternoon nap. Something about the alpha wave state or bursts of endogenous compounds. I really look forward to those states these days and have a sketch pad handy to grab the details...it's all too quickly forgotten. Rendering these visions in the machine, however, is a whole other ballgame. @Joe...cool vid Please do not PM tek related questions Reserve the right to change your mind at any given moment.

Yep, it's the afternoon naps. I think the fog is too thick on either side of the big block of sleep for me to recall anything. Almost-naps are the best...

i get lots of CEV from purkinje effects when closing my eyes and looking at strobing sunlight (like on a drive through a wooded road) i have done it often enough to where i get mild CEV just be looking at sunlight with my eyes closed. oddly enough the geometry seems to be based around that off the sun cross. i do not know how coincidental that is, but i thought it was interesting. me too, I used to have the kind of cev someone mentioned above, with the shapes coming from the center forward and spreading, for years literally I would just watch the show. Then I after trying the spice I decided to try to change the direction and movements of the twists and shapes and control the colors, and it worked! Sometimes it works better than others. I find being playful and relaxed along with some level of concentration is best. Life rocks! Upon return from hyperspace-"Wow I have a body with arms and legs and everything!"
btw-It's all true!

I have had hallucinations without drugs many times with a technique that i am still perfecting. It is a combination of Binaural beats and the ganzfeld effect. I used to only be able to do it when i was severely sleep deprived. Now i can do it after a long day of work. I believe it's because when i am more tired, my mind is less resistant to what i am trying to do. It's causes vivid CEV's and tactile hallucinatory feelings. Some OEV's but they can be most comparable to low dose DXM. Thing seem to swirl and move a little, but mostly when you move. Trying to walk is the same also. Relatively bad idea as most people who have seen me try 30 after I try think i'm drunk or extremely high as i feel very euphoric sometimes and find everything very funny.
I have also been working on an in the shower version for some years now, it's actually where the first idea evolved from. I would just hum lightly or remember the sound of a high pitched sound and combine it with the sound of the water coming out of the showerhead. Combined with the warm water you get out feeling very happy and refreshed. Like nothing could ever bring you down from this high.
I haven't tried this on many drugs but 3 hard puffs from a cigarette or e-cigs will cause the effect to multiply dramatically. I found the trick for it to work for me is to already have started the process. Then right before my moments or enlightenment, to puff hard but to only hold it in my mouth. Exhale through my nose, then breath in deeply using my mouth, inhaling a mixture of large amounts of oxygen and large amounts of carbon dioxide. It's created stronger visuals, stronger tactile hallucinations, and much much stronger disorientation when you come back.
I want to try this with a few more things to see how the effect can be made stronger or modified according to the combination.

I also will very rarely get very psychedelic, tryptamine-style visuals as I'm just about to fall asleep. Often these will precipitate vivid or lucid dreams because the visuals remind me that I am about to loose consciousness, but for whatever reason, as long as I watch the visuals, my alert awareness really does nothing to stop me from entering sleep. As I get more and more asleep, the visuals get more and more defined and high-res until suddenly I realize I've been dreaming for a little while (I never remember the exact moment of crossover), and am totally lucid. I wish they happened more frequently. I find it occurs once every few months and it's always a nice little surprise when it does. I also get VIVID OEVs and CEVs on cannabis, which I have heard is rare, but not unheard of. "There are many paths up the same mountain."
