Right now materialism is only seeing it as a generator of consciousness. However I believe we can indeed show that even with materialism as our grounding rod that our brains are BOTH receivers and generators of consciousness. You are in fact receiving my stream of consciousness as you read this.
i agree , it seems silly when we talk about consciousness and not accept that one needs to be conscious of something
all our five senses are always consuming input from the outside and so consciousness does infact exist outside as we are receiving this continuous stream of sights, sounds , taste, smells and feelings actually from the outside
the brain serves as a true consciousness generator only in dreams , not in reality
in reality there is a conscious stream of information that we consume directly with our five senses , if all the senses were lost there would be no consciousness and one would be presumed dead or comatose or something
how materialists come up with the theory that the brain is a consciousness generator is totally illogical
if the brain was the consciousness generator than i would just dream of more DMT , wildest riches and women along with my palace and my brain would instantly generate that
its not logically possible for the brain to be a consciousness generator when what we are conscious of lies outside the brain , the brain is only a receiver and having our five senses receiving input all the time is proof enough for me
fact or fiction , i don't know , yet i would appreciate if anyone could bring a better logical and scientific theory why they think the brain is a consciousness generator when all proof points the other way
i like proof , i believe in facts and the facts tell me that 5 senses are our input channels to the great source and brain is basicly like taking this information and constructing our world view , when these connections are mostly off as in sleeping then only it generates anything
where does one come up with the brain generating consciousness theory is outright illogical , perhaps as some people say the world is an illusion believe it more than i do .......as people who believe its all an illusion subscribe to the philosophy that the brain is generating all this and thus its an illusion , infact they are grossly materialistic
truth exists free of all this speculation and one can find it in the sunlight , the human mind does'nt create the sunlight it only observes it , all this is from the divine source itself .....all this is the divine source itself ...............

receiver when awake and generator when we are asleep , yet mostly a receiver i guess
eitherway the materialistic assumption that its a mostly a generator fails terribly
illusions !, there are no illusions
