Hello Nexus Members!

I'd like to introduce myself to this amazing community! I'm a young man trying to find himself and his purpose. I recently started university and it turned me upside down.
I had been sheltered most of my life, and asthma kept me away from a lot of other kids. This left me isolated for a great deal of time, which I honestly did not mind. It let me explore my thoughts and created some deep thinking.

Around the age of 13 I began having sleep paralysis and began to investigate Astral Projection. I'm not sure what the consensus is around here on that, but I considered it an eye opener into another universe.

Jump 5 years later after 4 years of schooling in a Catholic high school (developing my ideas on humanity and God), and I realized that I must find or make an attempt to find what my purpose is (if there is any at all).

An introduction course to Philosophy began to speak about the Mind-Body Theory and the idea of a higher level conscious accessible via DMT, Psilocybin, and LSD. Therefore, I set out on obtaining these substances and began research into safe administration and ran into multiple online communities, including this one. I enjoy this one the most because members seem more dedicated and friendly than the "SWIM" type looking to get messed up on anything.

A little on my experience: Psilocybin, Cannabis, Nitrous Oxide, DXM, and the occasional alcohol.

Anyways, sorry for the long text. I hope to meet many of you and share experiences.

Thank You Smile

Hello LeoPsychonaut,

Looks like you're following good threads. Understanding entheogens as tools to explore, and taking enough time to learn how to operate them, is a good way to enter.

Just keep in mind that, if you listen calmly to what entheogens tell you, and do not force any previous assumptions, you're in for surprises, treats and probably much more new questions than old answers.

Welcome to the Nexus!

Hello LeoPsychonaut

Sounds like you are on an interesting journey...lucky you. I replied because I had sleep paralysis once (aged 30+) and an astral projection (without my trying) aged 14; just the once. Both massively unforgettable. A bit like my DMT experiences (which are few in number); that which I can remember I shall never forget...and that which I remember I muse upon before embarking on a new adventure.

Best wishes in all you do Smile

Thank you all for your kind words Smile

Lately I have been having sleep paralysis about every night. Although I have not been able to break away from my body like I was able to when I was younger, I still enjoy the experience.

A question for you all: Is it possible that the pineal gland is producing small amounts of DMT naturally, thus allowing me to astral project/hallucinate/paralyze? I'd love to think this is true but realize it is far fetched.

My understanding is that this is still hypothetical (based on Strassman's research - The Spirit Molecule) but research is underway with a view to proving (or disproving). I believe some recent research points to it being a positive hypotheses...but as yet unproven. If you asked me to offer my opinion, I would say it is highly likely. But I am not a Doc.

Like a said, I had sleep paralysis once and that was, I can now say, on a par with some of the DMT experiences I have had. Glad you enjoy the sleep paralysis...mine was not so enjoyable at the time.

Hello LeoPsychonaut,

Welcome to the Nexus. That was a fine introduction and I didn't feel it was too long at all. It was a pleasure to read and I thank you for sharing.

It sounds like your life has been quite an adventure to date, with an acceleration and some mind expansion recently, Smile.

Regarding DMT, in general speaking for myself, I find it gives me what I need more than what I think I want. It can catalyze personal insight and even growth for me if I just let it.

It is quite a ride and seldom meets expectations, Very happy. I do hope you will go the path of extracting your own when you decide the time is right/ripe for you to try the spice.

In the interim, please take a good look around at this huge and thriving community. I hope you will like what you encounter.

Again, welcome to the Nexus.
